Re: The Bleak Streets of Twokinds: A Twokinds Forum Noir Story
Well, if you get too bored waiting on the Avie, I've a thread just a couple notches down.
Seriously, though. I want Avie to write it for the story's sake, or else it'll descend into drudge work ><. I don't want that to happen, it's shaping up so wonderfully.

Oh lord, I'm not sure I want to know what Av has planned for me. But this is coming along wonderfully, av. I don't know how, but you nail that noir tone and wit. Hope you keep writing more!FastChapter wrote:This is just a riot to read, Av! XD I can't wait to see Kinuki make an appearance, *nudge nudge*
Personally, I'd love to see Fast's cameo. My mind has no end to the various ways in which Fast may appear, or the (friendly) trouble he'll cause for our poor hero. Or Zhi. Maybe Zhi can be the stereotypical mysterious stranger who assists the heroes throughout their adventure.

I could easily see Kinuki as the 'Momma's right hand man' You know, the one that helps keeps things straight, when she has too many pots on the fire?
Heck, considering the internet brood I've accumulated, any number of cameos can be worked in there.....

*chuckle* Well, I'm really glad everybody's enjoying it. I do have some plans for poor Kinuki, though I might not play them out the way I've been thinking, it sort of depends on how the story goes. I've got a lot of people to introduce yet. I'm also rather excited to see where it'll end up, since at this point, even I'm not entirely sure who's going to be at the bottom of all of this.
Y'all might remember that I use music as an inspiration. Fortunately for this story, I've found a song that always puts me in the right mood for it. (Strange as it sounds, "Beautiful Dirty Rich" by Lady GaGa just does it for me. I can see the characters going through sort of an opening credits sequence, and it's worked every time so far.) Unfortunately, I haven't found that song for the slashfic yet, though getting the noir fiction written is helping unblock that one too.

Somehow I get that "Sincity" feeling XD (Just watched the movie)avwolf wrote:I think I'm going to lay an open challenge to people to write their own vignettes into the world if they'd like. Everybody's got their own stories to tell, after all.
Not that we're that bad, now are we? ;3
Music is indeed a powerful tool. Whenever I should be doing something constructive, music takes me to whole another world : D

Well, why didn't you simply ask? I have a few songs which should help strike up the necessary mood.avwolf wrote:Unfortunately, I haven't found that song for the slashfic yet, though getting the noir fiction written is helping unblock that one too.

I'm not surprised. Sin City is one of my favorite movies, and I'd be lying if I said that it didn't form a lot of inspiration for this.Demus wrote:Somehow I get that "Sincity" feeling XD (Just watched the movie)
*grin* You'll have to suggest them in an IM or PM. I wouldn't want to derail this thread too far.Kinuki wrote:Well, why didn't you simply ask? Dude, this is nothing short of Awesome. The Lue plot is rather clever, and I love Kel's position.

I like what you have so far Avwolf, I give it a 9/10. Why not 10/10? Because, I'm not in it

Okay av, I'm normally extremely patient with people well versed in the creative process but at least give us some update as to your progress, if any. Any information would be better than sitting in the dark without a clue as to what's going on. Why the long delay?
