The wolf rises as quickly as he fell, promptly grabbing a the other swordwolf’s discarded blade. He underestimated his opponent, and refuses to make that mistake again.
kiabugboy wrote:Judah quickly flipped the sword around to grab it properly, with both hands close to his hips in a defending position, scanning for anymore threats.

Judah was about to dash back into the cover when suddenly, he felt a powerful wooden blow and was pushed back quite a distance.
The blow came from the second spear wolf, who’d been forced to make do with a burning table leg after his commander disarmed him earlier. He’d flanked around to Judah’s right during his entanglement with the sword wolf and was attempting to catch the leopard off guard.

The table leg catches Judah on the side, but luckily the wood hard largely burnt away to carbon at the point of impact, causing it to shatter on contact and cushion the blow somewhat.

With Judah injured slightly, the other wolves decide to rush in and take him while he’s dazed.

Three on one hardly seems fair.
quickly recovering from the blow, Judah immediately catches a glance of the half of a charred table leg coming his way and immediately parried it to his side, once again using the opponent's momentum against him, causing him to stagger forward and trip over. "come one Judah, focus!" he thought to himself.

Judah turns around anticipating the wolf to get back up and attack, but as he does so he felt a sharp slice on his upper arm
"Argh!"
it was the previously fallen wolf, thrusting his secondary dagger at him, luckily he was still dazed by the previous blow as he missed completely and only managed to cause a light cut on Judah's arm. in an instinctive reaction, Judah turns around, away from the dagger's thrust and towards the attacker, unknowingly smashing his sword's pommel on the side of the wolf's head.

Judah was clearly struggling with multiple foes attacking him at every side that he didn't notice the last wolf, the other sword wielder already on his right side swinging his sword vertically to slash open his head.He didn't have enough reaction time to block the attack and could only close his eyes shut as he raised his sword up to somehow stop the imminent blow.

CLANK!
the sound of the attacker's sword clanking against metal was heard, but it is not from Judah's sword...

He opened his eyes to see his mentor right beside him, using his trusty cane sword to stop the wolf's blade from hitting the snow leopard, showing an expression of anger that Judah has never seen before in his entire life

"can't an old man just get his bloody nap..."
and with that line uttered, Percy blindingly pulled out a dagger underneath his robe, jamming the elegant ornate piece of weapon to the wolf's throat

Having successfully landed on the wolf, which in and of itself was keeping him mostly pinned, Elizabeth managed to grab one of his arms and pin it behind his back. Unfortunately it was the bloody stump, but it kept him further immobilized.

When the foreigner approached to finish the wolf off, Eliza shifted away from his head, careful to keep him pinned during the movement. When the foreigner began sawing at the wolf's throat Eliza had a brief but fierce struggle to keep the wolf from wrenching free. His blood-soaked fur didn't help matters any.

When the deed was done, she stood with a small grunt, already starting to feel some aches and pains as the adrenaline began to wear off. "Welcome. Could've broken his neck. Would've been cleaner."

"Other horses here, enough for any survivors if they don't mind stealing." Elizabeth picks up her bow, having dropped it when she landed on the wolf, and inspects it briefly before moving to the stable door, arrow already nocked.

"We'll hold here for now, give others time to escape. Watch for fire."

The wolf stared at the old man in confusion. How could a feeble old man stop his blade so effortlessly?
Needless to say, he didn't have much time to dwell on it since he soon found himself impaled through his throat.

The fight having shifted from 3 on 1 to 2 on 2 causes the remaining wolves's moral to waver. They back off for now rather than engage the pair.

"Urgh, cowards! Take him!" the leader calls from the safety of the rear. The two raiders look to each other, then to the bodies that surround them. The wolves refuse to move.

"Fine! I'll take the old man myself!" the leader calls, drawing his weapon from his back. A claymore like broad sword.

The stable is filled to capacity. Easily holding 12 or more horses. There'd be plenty to use in an escape, if you can even make it outside.

(Sorry, I've been sort of in a writers block for the last few days. Hope that's enough for now...)

"Right... fire?"
Phaing dashes to her own horse, since we are 'holding' she has time and a certain amount of unused adrenaline, so why not throw her saddle and bags over her horse?
Included in that is a short horse-bow and full quiver.

Whoa... literally.
"There are a dozen horses in here. Leave here for the Wolves to eat, or use for a battering ram?"
Heh, rhetorical question of the year.
Phaing mounts her horse and rides down the row of stables, flipping open the internal gates (or maybe just rope closers) that keep the horses in the individual stables. Then she grabs a lantern from the wall and calls softly to Lief.
"You say the word, and I start a stampede. Duck round the corner and I will grab you as I pass by, 'kay?"
She has the lantern lit and cocked back for a throw at the back wall.

Needless to say, he didn't have much time to dwell on it since he soon found himself impaled through his throat.
fresh blood sprays onto Judah's face, painting red drizzles on his white fur, his hand trembles followed by his whole body at the sight of blood, seeing the wolf desperately gasp for air, wheezing like a dying animal.

but all these thoughts we're quickly interrupted by a hard slap from Percy on the back of his head
"Eyes on the enemy you idiot! Go and make yourself useful!"
Judah looked at Percy briefly then turned his attention at the approaching brute.
the wolf swung his sword at Percy, obviously possessing a greater strength than the old man himself who was already exhausted from the previous blow he stopped in order to save Judah, though he tries not to show it. the claymore itself looks gigantic compared to Percy's slender cane sword.

But Percy has quick reflexes to compensate for it, surprising for a geezer like him. instead of clashing his sword against the claymore, he uses his cane to redirect the opponent's weapon using their own force, similar to what Judah did but done more masterfully that it made the snow leopard's previous fight pale in comparison.

Judah doesn't stand still throughout all this , as Percy parries blow after blows, Judah looks for an opening to attack the wolf who seems more fixated at overpowering Percy. However, the brute's armor proves to be quite an obstacle, and the gashes that Judah did manage to inflict on the wolf's flesh didn't cause even the slightest flinch on the raging juggernaut. Though it did manage to get his attention. Soon the pair found themselves alternating between distracting the wolf while the other would try to inflict damage with seemingly no success. seeing no way out of this, Percy grew tired

But unbeknownst to Percy and the brute, Judah had a plan in mind, he had been intentionally taking blows to lure the wolf closer and closer to one of the wooden pillars holding parts of the tavern in place.
"arrgh, what are you doing??" Percy shouted as Judah pushed him to the side, far from the wolf.
Now it's just him and the brute, and he drops his sword, much to the brute's surprise followed by delight.

the wolf attempts to impale Judah with the claymore, but he quickly ducks to the ground. Normally this would've been a suicidal move as the opponent would've just stab him to the ground right away.
But not this time as the wolf's claymore is firmly lodged into the already weakened pillar. Judah picked up his sword and went to percy, not even bothering to hit the wolf's strong armor for the ceiling above him is already beginning to shake, the wolf's attempt to retract his sword isn't helping either.

"Run!!"
"Exit! Now!!!" Percy shouted at Judah

"wait!" Judah points at the injured basitin who seems to be bleeding from the wounds he had received from the arrow earlier.
"Hey!! you...island.. guy.."

"Yes, fire. The kind that burns. Horses don't like it." Elizabeth responded dryly.

She put her shoulder to the heavy door and pushed carefully, opening it just enough to peak out. "Inn was catching, it's likely the fire will spread here." She put in after a moment, explaining more than she felt was needed.

Peering out into the darkness Elizabeth started a rough headcount of wolves and dogs, as best she could with only being able to see one side of the town. She gave up and pulled back from the door once her count hit twenty.

"Too many in the streets. Town's fallen already." She murmured, looking to the foreign girl when she called to her.

Oh, that isn't good. You make Phaing think that the Wolves are not just winning, that they have already won and we are trapped here. And if the Wolves take them, when then? Slavery, or something worse for the female captives, or something even worse for on that had been identified as a Witch already.
Desperation makes for dangerous moves...
Lief wrote:"Yes."
... and that's all it takes.
"Alrighty then!"

And with the loudest, wildest shriek that she can manage, she hurls the lamp into the wall and hits it above a pile of Hay. The shriek should have made the horses look her way, and the blooming flames should make a hell of an impression on them.

Phaing ducks down low, so that she won't get her brains knocked out if her horse rears, and calls to Elizabeth; "Open the doors, and go left!" She is at the back of the pack and should be able to control her horse well enough to stay there. At the doorway she will have the reigns in her right hand and the left one out to grab hold of Elizabeth, to swing her onto her horse behind her.
That's the plan, anyway...

The basitin stumbles to his feet, appearing groggy and disorientated; still clutching at his wound. "S-Stables.." he mutters moments before falling to his knees. He can barely stand, let alone run.

Meanwhile, the wolf's still furiously trying to retrieve his blade; despite the structural integrity clearly being compromised. His time spent retrieving the blade causes him to loose sight of the other three long enough to provide a window to break away, such is the nature of a single minded brute.

Indeed they do. It's not long before the horses closest to the flames screech and wail; the others join in soon after.

Still, with the stable doors still secured the horses have no where to escape to. Some of the more experienced beast start huddling around the entrance, trying to break the front doors down with their hooves, while others run around in panicked circles.

Still, all the ruckus inside is starting to draw attention from the wolves in waiting.

Two grunts are sent to investigate.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

"That's not-" Elizabeth stops abruptly, no point wasting breath on a misunderstanding that's already put events in motion. She shoulders her bow and darts to the door bar on the right side, lifting the first of two with a grunt and letting it clatter to the floor. Who built this stable? Why did they use two locking bars? And why did they have to be dropped in, instead of slid?

Eliza moves to the other side, dodging the panicking horses as she goes, and lifts it out of its brackets as well. With that done, the horses that were beating on the door do the rest, and the small herd began its frenzied stampede.

Elizabeth ducks outside as soon as the doors are open and draws her sword with her right hand, only the slightest bit of awkwardness slowing her draw any. Steel in one hand, she stuck out the other open-palmed for the foreign girl to hopefully grab and pull her up onto the horse.

When was the last time she relied on someone like this? She couldn't remember.

Judah didn't catch whatever he was Saying as he was more concerned with getting the basitin to safety.
"We have to get him out of here!"

"No!!" Percy shouted "No time! Not our concern! Get to the wagon NOW!!" He continued sternly

Judah looked at Percy for a moment, silence on his face, then turned and quickly ran towards the injured basitin.

"Wai-" Percy looked bewildered at Judah's' disobedience, pausing for a short while but then immediately followed after the snow leopard, clutching his fist while showing frustration on his face "DAMNIT!"

Judah got to the basitin who already looked severely weakened and exhausted, "h-hey, come on, we have to get out" he said a bit stuttering and nervous. slightly confused with what he had to do in the situation.
Judah tried helping him stand, resting his arm on his shoulder but Judah was visibly struggling to lift the weight of another person.

Percy arrived soon after to help support the basitin's other arm, getting ready to walk him to the exit,
He looks at Judah again, uttering a sentence , this time with a more calm but discontent tone "wagon. Now."

Just as he said that, a thundering and chaotic noise of shrieking animals was heard over the cavern walls

.
Which is exactly what Phaing said she would do.
It isn't easy, thank goodness she had time to saddle her horse. Phaing tucks the bow under her thigh and leans out to catch 'lixabeth as she goes by. Ah, perfect, that sword should give her enough leverage to swing right up here.
Damn, that didn't do her own arm any good.

The basitin winces in pain as his arm is raised, disrupting the bolt still lodged inside him. With the added help, he's able to support some of his weight, but he's certainly relying on the other pair to keep him moving.

That they do. The horses tear through the open doors, trampling one of the two wolves who'd been sent to investigate, while the other jumped to the side and presses himself along the side of the stable wall. He's not going anywhere until he's certain its safe to pull away.

The bulk of the wolf force has scattered into two large groups as the horses charge right down the middle of their formation. From the looks of things, 3-4 didn't make it along with 1 of the horses.

The wolves are currently more focused on themselves and the run away horses than the stables, but it won't be long before they regroup. None of them are watching as you ride out.

Ride out?

(I may be out of turn here, but I have a reason)

"That went great!" She shouts back over her shoulder at Elizabeth. "Wanna sting them so more, so the don't try to follow?"

She does cast a glance at the Inn, thinking of those boys that were so nice to her earlier. It is a shame to leave them behind... but unless they can ride bare-back, what can we do?
Wait... they are both Kiedran, can they run like cats, too?

Elizabeth grunted as she was pulled up onto the horse, careful to keep her sword free of any obstacles. Like the horse.

She shifted into a slightly more comfortable position and, using her sword, pointed towards the closest set of town gates.

"No. Should leave while they're distracted. They can't keep up on foot, but if they have horses... Better to get a good head start." Eliza responded, speaking just loud enough to be heard over the horses and the shouts of the wolves.

"LEAVE, NOW!" Percy has had about enough to lose his patience already from all the trouble,
they rushed in a much quicker pace to the back door, making the basitin struggle quite a bit as he gets slightly dragged along, unable to keep up.

all three of them manages to exit through the back door, they saw the stables, already in ruins, shards of wood planks scattered all over the place and the remaining walls riddled with cracks and holes from the previous stampede. while they were witnessing the chaos, Judah caught a glimpse of two figures riding out on a horse, away from the commotion. One of them was shouting a word too faint for him to understand from the distance

"hey! over there"
he points towards them for Percy and the basitin to see
