This won't be over until we have a vaccine.
I have a bet with my colleagues I say we won't be over this until July 2021 at best.

Yup, that happened.

People want 2020 to end because of the royal [censored] storm this year has sent out. Honestly, I've lost track. Plague, ice caps and global warming, firenados, dead celebrities... This year has just been crap. And not just for COVID, it's crap anyway. Ooh, found a list. Pretty incomplete, but still.. I forgot murder hornets were a thing, and oh yeah, AUSTRALIA CAUGHT FIRE. And so did almost all of California. And Beirut exploded. COVID just walked in on this, like, "Hi, Imma ruin your- What the [censored] happened here? Alright, I guess I'll make some popcorn."

Sorry if this counts as necroposting, but I didn't notice this topic before; here are some of my own quotes, both serious and less so. Fair warning, I have a twisted sense of humor.

Some context. I was in a class in college, my professor is a Mechanical Engineer and effortlessy drew a rather complex mechanism on the whiteboard for the class. The man can really draw. and then he commented the following:
Professor wrote: It is not that hard to draw sketches like this, but most of you have never drawn like this and will never do. Back in the day we all had to draw our blueprints with ruler and pen an skill you do not have and that due to AutoCAD and similar is fading away. But do not worry for the same reason you have developed different skills that we do not have....
Althought I have no idea what those skill are or what they are good for but you are supposed to have them.
