Agreed. Sure makes for an awesome effect, though. Well done.Eclipse wrote: Sat Jun 07, 2025 2:07 amI think it is just door pieces. You can see them fly off in Panels 2 and 3 and there's no other visible damage to the floor.

Gearhead mechanic in the digital era, who will probably grow up is in the process of growing up to be a very grumpy old man.

Highly unlikely that Nora would do something like that. If anything if she was ever going to do something like it would be only be for Trace.AmigaDragon wrote: Thu Jun 05, 2025 4:01 pmIt could be door pieces rather than floor damage.Could be the spell was supplied or even enchanted into the armor by Nora.Madd the Sane wrote: Wed Jun 04, 2025 8:34 pmI can still see the dragon in the final design.Bellhead wrote: Wed Jun 04, 2025 10:38 am
I find it interesting how, in the sketch version, Keiren's defense spell has a pentagram and a dragon, and the comic has a shield instead. Wonder why.
She definitely wouldn't be enchanting mana crystals for just random humans that she has no interest in. If anything she'd probably scoff at being asked to doing such a thing.
As for the crystal, I doubt it's anything special, as Tom did say most humans use mana crystals to recharge their cores as they can't manipulate mana in the atmosphere in the way that Trace can.
Kei's pretty much just using a mana crystal to do what he needs to in the moment. I'm fairly certain there's more guards with the exact same mana crystal.
As for the dragon sign, it's a symbol, nothing to do with it being enchanted. If you look at Reed's clothing, and some of the other guards, it has the same dragon symbol.
Dragon's are a symbol of power, a status symbol, that dragon symbol is essentially there to tell people, "hey look we have dragon, look at how high and mighty we are."
Reni's pretty much being used by humans to improve their social standing, because she resides' in the area.

Tom has confirmed on stream that Reni can't use magic, or to be more specific, she doesn't know how to use magic.Tornir wrote: Thu Jun 05, 2025 4:44 pmIt seems Kei is on good terms with Princess Reni. She literally doesn't know how to do anything magic wise, and has been relying solely on her natural dragon abilities. Shapeshifting, fire breathing, flight etc...
Reni wouldn't be enchanting anything, or really doing anything like that, since she wouldn't be able to do something like that, even if she wanted to.
We also know that human mages are capable of enchanting crystals without any issues, so it's highly likely that if anything was enchanted it was by a human. Assuming it is enchanted.
Also I think it's important to note all the sketch stuff is non-canon to the story. In the main story Kei and Reni barely know each other, and have barely interacted.
If anything they're more acquaintances. Kei's just doing job, and Reni's there to help out of needed. Plus Reni aims to be on good terms with all humans not just one.
Reni doesn't give the vibe of playing favourite's, and showing preferential treatment to someone specific.

Has anyone noted yet that the so-called Templar Knight's eyes are two different colours?
We've seen that before with Natani (before being separated from Zen; afterwards, eyes became same colour as Zen's)) and Brahn (perhaps he has a similar connection with his daughter?). Anyone else? And is this significant?
