We have a ban on fireworks this year thanks, covid, but I don't hear a difference.

I hate reinstalling windows, it breaks my dual boot.

I suppose part of the price comes from having to go where you live to get it. Plus import taxes and whatnot.

Still the jet puff thing costed me around 8 dollars. Definitely expensive but not that much.

Sorry to say, but the bargain stuff just doesn't taste right. It'll give you an idea, but it's just not the same.

Jet Puff seems to be owned by Kraft foods. Hardly gourmet but i think it is ok.

So far i have liked the thing on bread but I ran out of peanut butter... At least that is easy to source.

Finally, we're predicted to get up to 7" of snow this week! Now we get to see how many cars don't start, don't drive, are blocked in with flat tires, and how many times we have to jump start the plow trucks!

How DARE Virginia get state-closing snow before we did! Shoulda happened in November, but whatever.

'Round here, it is, yes.

Above freezing, and the snow turns to slush, making it less deep, but exponentially heavier. Below freezing, and you get very deep, light, fluffy snow. Some places out west can get several feet in a single storm.

5-7 inches is right on the borderline; too cold for slush, too warm for fluffy snow. So it's heavy, wet, VERY dense, falls fast, it's a nightmare to drive through, and it's not enough to close more than school.

As for what snowfall entails: If you don't move it, clear it, etc. quick enough, it goes from a deep pile of dense wet fluff to a solid block of deep ice that's there until the spring thaw. Temperatures here have their own agendas. And physics. And the snow kinda just sits there like, "What a fun ride!" And then we all have to just deal with it.

Still love it way more than Summer, though. By FAR.

Thanks to climate change snow is rare here, and that is a good thing, Dutch people only think they can drive on snow. Only a few cm of snow is enough for complete chaos.

That's right.... Don't the Dutch use bicycles most of the time?

It's funny how many of these videos exist. It's almost like the Dutch are an endangered species that needs to be captured on film.

My boss (well one of them) is Dutch as well as several colleagues so i am sort of habituated to them. Of course all interaction has been virtual so that may be not the real "Stuff"

Around here a few drops of Rain and everyone forgets how to drive.
