I don't know why someone wanted Laura as the Grand Templar, but this is starting to look interesting. Also, 2 things; 1. I'd like to know Flora and Kathrin's backstories in this AU. 2. I am reminded of the 'Den' story from 'Heavy Metal'.
Kat seems like an archmage, Flora is probably there to increase the "feminine presence" on the image. I personally wonder where Nat is in this universe. Although I am afraid of the answer.

There's just something about the Modern AU (maybe same Universe? [I'll get back to that in a bit]) that's fascinating to me.
I love the way Tom draws modern clothes. Also that suit, damn Trace who is your tailor?

It's sweet. I like this. ...That's all I have.
I hope at the end of the story Raine's parents at least try to reconcile with her...
I also like the color scheme he used, usually it is only light blue and orange on the lines, but this has solid colors

...That's all I got.
I wonder if you would ever need to charge a possessed phone or if it would be powered by the spirit itself. In any case that thing would
probably be much more useful, and private, than Sira/Alexa/Assistant.

In any case:
For archival pruposes: We got Nora ref sheet!. I half expected a couple
burned villages here and there but it was actually quite nicer than i expected.

Also they colored Squirrelmart , love the color and the incredible amount
of detail, Tom drawing are usually not this cluttered. also wanted to add
Spoiler!

You know evern since patreon chanced its policy and forced all of the "questionable" content to be locked to only patreons I noticed Tom's sketches getting more risque over time.
I thougth it was simply my imagination or that i was getting prudish with age. But with pieces like this and Sun Bathing Erilas, which is also blocked on deviant art. I am starting to think it is not my imagination.

Also how come this is ok enough for Patreon anyway?

So, two things:
1) the Erilas picture was blocked on DA? Why? I've seen stuff that's pretty close to straight up porn on DA. Do you mean DA has it mature flagged?
2) Best guess on Patreon is that it's because she's "fully clothed". Also I think it's a creator-selected tickbox, not automatic or anything, so technically it'd be because of Tom's decision.

Yeah mature flagged, sorry, in any case i think there Is plain old pron in DA, well or so i have been told, it is not like I checked... And it is all mature flagged but it is way less problematic since you can see all that if you log in. I think only really weird stuff is banned... or so i have been told.

I was wondering the other day just how Patreon actually enforced the ban, most automatic methods are pretty bad themselves and on the other hand i do not think they would work with drawing let alone Tom's style.

Probably how most sane sites do it; through user reports (hopefully it's not an automatic method based on report counting)

On another note:
So, uh, technically these aren't a sketch of the day, but Nora Cards don't really have another spot atm and they're kind of a sketch of the day? idk, but holy [censored] did we miss something with these. Spoilering them for size's sake, but click the image to get taken to the Patreon post

Mad Cuteness
I have a feeling that most of the lore is made up on the spot, but I still like it and want to know more!

I thought I read that Western Basitins were Nomads, had no permanent residence; but this is supposed to be the in the Western Basitins’ side of the island and those look like permanent residences. I have 2 theories for this in case it’s never addressed.
1. This is a sometimes used safe haven for them to fall back on if they need to do so. Like if they can’t just keep roaming around for whatever reason or they need to meet for some big event.
2. These aren’t technically their homes. These belong (or use to belong) to the Eastern Basitins and they’re just occupying them for now until the war causes them both to switch sides again.

Also, scene I’m no longer making Sketch Suggestions, should I post my infamous list of requests? It seems a shame to just leave it sitting here, and it could inspire some other ideas.

A little script change... "What do you think, Eric?" Would this outfit push him over in the direction she wants (does she still want him)?

Kat: "So, you and the Grand Templar, huh?
Flora: "Uh... Yeah?"
Kat: "So you know a lot about romancing Humans then?"
Flora: "I guess?"

I honestly expected her to be one of those 'game streamers' that are basically camgirls, y'know, those strippers who pretend to care about games
