Classical music anyone?

#1 Post by nsamok6620 »

So, aside from my interests in classic rock, metal, electronica, etc, one of my favorite things to listen to is classical music. I don't know that much about it, aside from the names that everyone knows and a few pieces that I particularly like.

So lets hear it! What are some classical pieces you guys like? I'll start off with two. One that I'm listening to right now (on vinyl) and one that I've been listening to for the last few weeks.

What I'm listening to now: And that one has been in my head for a while. Something about the incredibly fast notes is amazing. If you guys know of other pieces like this one I would really love to hear it.

I'm a rather huge fan of Mozart's 40th Symphony. Then again, I grew up with it in Looney Toons. I'M OLD, OKAY! Beethoven's 9th Symphony is also great. Of course there's also my favorite, the 1812 overture... three guesses as to why. The first two don't count. :P
Been around this forum for over 8 years now. Everyone I've known has left, now it's my time to do the same.

Who even reads the subject line, anyway?

I'm new to classical, but I've had Beethoven's 3rd symphony stuck in my head for days now.

I also listened to his 9th so many times I never wanna hear it again >~>

I think this may be the right place to talk about Fox Amoore. Been listening to all of his music recently, and although it's more of the epic style than classical, he does have some great orchestral pieces.

Who even looks at signatures anyways?

Multitasking is just a way to be less efficient at two different things simultaneously

At least top ten for me includes On the Beautiful Blue Danube. I was fortunate enough to have been able to watch 2001: A Space Odyssey in theaters not so long ago, and oh my ~goodness~ what an incredible experience! It was great as something to simply watch at home, but that movie was ~made~ to be viewed in a true theater. This song just brings back all of the wonder an amazement from that film along with it's own stellar quality every time I listen to it!

I like Mendelssohn and Debussy.
My daughter calls me a pragmatic player. Well, I'm the one. That's because online games are like that. Today I'll try casinogames club games. I need nothing else.
