My favorite bot is the one called Majestic-12, I have no idea what it does, but it just sounds so, majestic...ThunderVolt wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2017 3:02 am Uh... Google, can you step back a bit? I know we're the only ones here, but...

The question remains: what about Majestic 1 - 11? Were they just not majestic enough?Hayate wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2017 5:22 amMy favorite bot is the one called Majestic-12, I have no idea what it does, but it just sounds so, majestic...ThunderVolt wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2017 3:02 am Uh... So we're being monitored by the comity that makes sure the public can't prove the existance of UFOs?
Cool.
Cool.

My dad's birthday was a few days ago, and his girlfriend made a dish to make all Italian's cringe in terror... BAKED SPAGHETTI (basically lasagna with spaghetti noodles)
Also, this amazing cake that's one layer chocolate cake, one layer brownie, and then another layer of chocolate cake on top.
In case you were wondering, they were both delicious

We're in the last few weeks of classes and my Audio Mixing Techniques class has started our final project for the semester. My professor nabbed the original multitracks from Bohemian Rhapsody that got leaked a while back, so now we're going to spend the next several classes mixing it from scratch in 5.1 Surround for the giggles.

Re: What made you smile today? Round 2!
Things have been going pretty well lately.
I'm pretty sure I just aced my two most difficult exams, I've got a job offer for work that'll let me stay in my hometown and strike out on my own properly, and I've recently started seeing a girl. And I still have easter leftovers.
So I'm rather content right now.

My CPU temperature is currently 56°C/133°F, a bit odd. Normally it would be around 30°C/86°F (idle)
But then I remembered I bought a new cooler, and the CPU is currently at 100% load to test it.
With the old cooler and same settings it would have been 80°C/176°F, and a lot of noise.
Silence makes you forget what you have
For those who are curious: it's a way over the top Noctua NH-D15S, expensive (far too expensive, but hey, it has to work for at least 7 more years), silent and cool.

If it moves but shouldn't: Duct tape. If it doesn't move but should: WD-40. With a hammer everything fits, and if it still doesn't fit: bigger hammer. If it can't be fixed with a hammer it's an electrical problem.
Re: What made you smile today? Round 2!
Lol I recently built myself a mini-ITX PC with an 8 thread Xeon. That's some hot stuff, but the CPU cooler is limited to 65mm in height.Neutral Smith wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2017 6:36 pm My CPU temperature is currently 56°C/133°F, a bit odd. Normally it would be around 30°C/86°F (idle)

In order to fit the heatsink in in the first place, I had to trim off two of the fan clips as well
I hit 76°C today
