How come?
Newly-divorced parents. The one still in possession of my childhood house is thinking of going away to visit his family for Christmas, which would leave it decoration-less and put my sister and me into an apartment with a plastic tree.
I guess we'll be developing new traditions now...
wow, sorry man. divorces really suck.
Hopefully you'll be able to have a good christmas anyway, and new, fun traditions for christmases to come.
My parents are divorced too Verilidaine trust me when i say i know how you feel but Christmas brings out the best in people so one way or another its gonna be good. But just maybe not in the way you want.
We'll likely just eat dinner, say merry Christmas and be very happy (Or at least I pretend to be happy) and then open gifts after dinner. Then I'll likely go back to my room and sit in front of the computer and do something on the internet.
I try as hard as I can to eat as healthily as I can until Christmas Day, where I gain my holiday pounds at my Aunt's. Darn her and her massive turkey and awesome stuffing... And potatoes... And Gravy...
And her homemade pumpkin pie... Yeah, AGAIN at Christmas.
As silly as it is, I guess it could be called a tradition. Almost every year I find some way to incorporate duck-tape into the Christmas decor. Last year our only decoration was a 2 foot tall medical model skeleton my aunt had left over from nursing school. I made a Santa suit for it using colored duct tape. Still trying to thing of what to do this year

I FAILED KINDERGARTEN SPELLING!!!>_<
I'll get to see my sister and her fiancée when they come down for Christmas, so maybe not a tradition per-say, but defiantly something to look forward to with their wedding just around the corner in February!!! Can't Wait
Christmas eve, we'll go to Mass. Occasioanlly I'll sing in the choir (seeing as how they lack ANY men), but then we'll usually go back home and open a few presents, leaving the majority of stuff for the morning. IN said morning, whenever the time rolls around that both my younger brother and I are awake, we'll go into my parents room (though this has more recently become my brother waking ME and me waiting in bed until they want us.) From there, we walk down the hallway together and go do family presents, including stuff for our Westie. She usually gets a new chew toy and a variety of package bows in her hair xD
Magic is merelysciencethat we have yet to understand.
Eh Our traditions usually mean getting all the Christmas decorations and such down from the attic and then setting them up. On Christmas we eat here and have family over and open presents afterward. Nothing too special really.

Two christmas trees and a miniature town to boot! Plus a mountain of chocolate...
Also the family gatherings wich involves lots of alcohol of varying types often being mixed up for a more desiriable effect! (I still have nightmares from the one last year...)
