Re: Announcment For All Users, User Names And Pruning
I'm afraid I didn't find anything in my phpBB3 install. I've got a different version, so I can't promise it's not in this one, but I didn't see anything of that nature in mine anyway. I'm afraid Slow's probably right -- it's something that'll have to be modified in one of the files (or potentially in the database, but that's unlikely).

It was early in the morning! you know what i meant! rofl
yeah the person you are referring to seems to be more of a lurker :P but further investigation points to them just going poof, for if they were a lurker, they would post here to preserve their name

Yes, I meant the person you (Star) posted was inactive, but in 2007 last (not 2006 or earlier).
But as you said, there still seem to be users who have been inactive last in 2006 or earlier.

Then you got back just in time ;) . As the first post states:
"Second, a total of 2457 users have been deleted for inactivity since 2006, to maintain the smooth operations of the board. If you are reading this now and have had your account terminated pm me privately."
For that reason I posted, not saying all should be deleted, but because Nanaki said he deleted all of them, and I found a remaning one...

Re: Announcment For All Users, User Names And Pruning
I didn't really delete them all, instead it was almost like an archive, just pushed them off the main Database and into a storage area, so things on the main don't get cluttered up. If someone from back when logs on with an account post 2006 (inactivity date) it should ask for re-verification and re-enable his account. All posts made by those users remain on the forums to keep things from getting confusing.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but since in order to register you have to reply to a verification e-mail wouldn't the e-mail address then be on record somewhere. Is it possible for one of the Admins to access those e-mails and send a message saying that if they don't respond in an certain period of time their account would be tagged for deletion?

I personally think that's a pretty good rule...
