Why is Maren's fur in Keidran form black when her hair isn't really black? Is there something that predetermines color in a transformation spell in this world?

It's possible that the color black was chosen for her fur based on her character type, being cold to everyone and all that.

Personally, I'd say it was a stylistic choice, given that none of the other characters (or their transformed forms) are black-furred.

Or just creative liberty.

Or it might be her own choice.

Like for me a tiger form would maybe be white or orange but a dragon form would be red.

Let's not forget Maren original keidran form was a back cat probably stemmed from her personality. Which in retrospective was a bit rude.

Eventually Tom draw her as a black wolf, again since she was a black cat the color stayed, and the fans reception was very positivite. So it is blackwolf Maren now.

Personally I prefer her black wolf form. Suits her best.
