It's good, but I better like the comics. The plot move too fast in the movie IMO.ZNickel wrote:I forgot one! The Adventures of Tintin! A pretty much flawless film!

No Country for Old Men (What's the most, you've ever lost, on a coin toss.)
Superman (The first one, with Christopher Reeve)
Waiting for Superman (Documentary; does not actually have very much to do with Superman)

Re: Your favorite movie?
Before I watched Avatar it was Goldeneye but after Avatar it's well Avatar. I love the movie not just because of the story/special effects but the affect it had on me as I became really addicted to the film.

Re: Your favorite movie?
I'm not sure if I've already replied on this post, but if I have, then I'm sure my movie faces have changed. For instance, although Star Wars is a great series, the first 3 especially (The REAL first three, plebeian.), they aren't.... spectacularly well-written or even well-acted movies. They're classics because of their innovation in visual effects. So for that reason, I'd have to remove them from a list of favourites I have. (I still like them, of course.) This applies to quite a fee movies, actually, so I'll revise my previous list.
I still think The Princess Bride was one of the best, most hilarious movies ever made, but that said, Cary Elwes is great in pretty much everything he's in.
As far as animation goes, I'd have to place Howl's Moving Castle or My Neighbour Totoro in first place. I can't decide which, really. (People complain about Totoro not having any real plot, but remember it was the feel-good movie to counter the failure of Grave of the Fireflies, which debuted at the same time.)
3-D animation, specifically, goes to Starship Trooper: Roughnecks Chronicles. Technically it isn't a movie but the sheer endurance the production team went through to make the series happen is amazing. It was actually a great show when it was on.
Back to live action: Anything done by Monty Python is obviously great, but on the more serious side, I'd have to include action movies like Air Force One and The Fugitive. Can't beat Harrison Ford / Tom Clancy! And finally, I'd have to say that Catch Me If You Can and The Outsiders are two great movies for their amazing acting. So let's see:
1 The Princess Bride
2 The Outsiders
3 Howl's Moving Castle and My Neighbour Totoro
4 Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, Air Force One, The Fugitive, The Hunt for Red October (Forgot that one!), Catch Me if You Can (All in no real order.)
5 SHT: RC, because it isn't a movie.
