How would you react if TK was turned into a movie?

For me, it would depend on how well it was made. What about you? Post your reaction to this in the replies! :flora:

I'm not sure. I don't think a movie would be the best option.

Personally I feel TK would benefit better as a short series broken up into 20 minutes per chapter.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I agree with Rookie, while the idea of a high budget movie sounds great, I think that a TV series would make more sense, as the story is more episodic and would be much too long for the average movie.

I wouldn't watch a second of it.

Nothing beats static pictures made by a single artist, if it starts moving and making sound it's not what I have known before of it, and I'm afraid I won't like it.
If it moves but shouldn't: Duct tape. If it doesn't move but should: WD-40. With a hammer everything fits, and if it still doesn't fit: bigger hammer. If it can't be fixed with a hammer it's an electrical problem.

Depends on a lot of factors. Art would be important, of course, if it looked too different then all bets are off. Safest would probably be something that takes place far away from the south and the characters we all know. Maybe something further north where I highly doubt we'll ever get to. Voicing any characters we know would be a bad idea, I think. Then there's style, I wouldn't be able to stand something that's all CG. Hand drawn art or bust. Quality, too.

I'm very picky, so chances are I'd watch it and hate it or just completely skip it and forget it existed, like Other M or almost all of the Resident Evil movies.

I think there's just too many ways for it to go wrong. TwoKinds just isn't the kind of thing to be made into a movie.
Besides, the book is always better than the movie!

I'd be really wary.

I would be disinterested, as movies tend to devalue the quality of a work to substantial levels.

And since Twokinds isn't exactly a masterpiece of literature already, I would suspect a movie would be extremely sub-par.

No. Just no.

The reason?

Watch ALL the MCU films, then watch the TV Show Daredevil... you'll see! ;)

TwoKinds itself just seems like it would be only harmed by not being an animated film.

Though there are costume and makeup artists who can make people look like cat people in the case of Doctor Who, but honestly they'd need to look all fluffy and junk and... well that's not really possible without a suit.

I think honestly though that the past attempts at something like this have only failed because they failed to line up with the original while they tried to.
TwoKinds as movie obviously wouldn't be destined to be awful because Tom wouldn't use the same story, i mean... just look at most disney movies. Created from actual written works, fairy tales in most cases, and they're awesome.

The only way I could see a movie being at all not rushed is if it didn't have as huge of an over-arching plot as the comic currently has. To bring peace between all races and thwart the Templars in their evil, evil plans (i'm guessing) but also to basically find a nice place to settle down. Which... well isn't a fast 1-2 hour movie plot. It'd probably be maybe about Trace's fall to madness or something either just as, or more prequel-y or spinoff-y.
Outer Space is annoying. Wormholes are worse.
