What, more?
It had good intentions. But the lack of leadership and solid goals, as well as the continuous clashes, are turning it into little more than a violent spectacle and an excuse for calling "foul" on the media and government.

If you do things that are probably going to prompt violent response, you don't get to act surprised when the response is violent.

I call WTF on the cops, though. "IED" is not a typical thrown weapon. You don't get to say that without clarifying that they were throwing Molotov cocktails. Because that's about the only thing I can think of they could claim as an IED.

The discrepancy between observed and reported protester injuries is disconcerting, but not surprising. The fact that Occupy has managed to exist this long without leadership is also disconcerting. It won't continue too much longer like this.

"Is failing?"
I thought it failed a while ago when the my fellow university students told me how ludicrous it was.

It clearly hasn't failed enough to stop existing. It continues to fail. Thus, it is failing. It's a process. Like decomposition.

I think this thread is pretty redundant. The title has been stated around here many times before, just said differently. Just don't tell some of the forumites around here about this.

I still don't have anything new to say about Occupy. And if you don't understand what I mean, then don't worry. Not missing much but what is already clear.

Edit: Wait, I remembered something! I actually don't feel that Oakland is a fair representation of Occupy. I've never actually said that around here before, but I think that's still something fairly obvious.
