Indie Game: Development of a Survival Game

#1 Post by Taliis »

Its a long time, since my last post. Sorry about that but i was busy, with finals and setting everything up to find a job.
Now i have some more time for some game development and i was wondering, if anyone would be interested to see how
a game develops from the beginning.

Im not spamming you with code-blocks, so dont worry.

But i will post all the steps i develop as an interactive module.
Right now, i have would like to show you the "sequencer" of the flash-engine.

Nothing special for Actionscript veterans...

----------------------

My aim is to create a flash game with an unlimited level size, that changes dynamicly on each restart.
And your not playing not an human.
There's a reason, why my website is called "Flash-Fox":

#######################
Gameengine:

[/i]Sequencer:[/i]

Click to test the "sequencer - module":

Engine / Sequencer

(Translation Orange Box: click here to set the focus to the SWF, than you can use the keyboard)

( finally i developed my own modeling style! *YaY* )
----------------------

genre: Fantasy / Survival
levels: Dynamicly loaded / generated (unlimited length)
character customization: Yes
Multiplayer: (not sure)...

Like in most survival-games your arch enemy is hunger and thirst.
But in this case, i might have some other surprises for you in the future...

----------------------

IMPORTANT:

Dont expect the release very soon. This is an extreamly early state.
I cant even call this "early alpha access" ...

But if you have any suggestions, i will try to implement it.
It will be randomly generated, so any story could happen... 8)

the most time-consuming thing is the creation of the 3D models.
Just let me know, what you think of that idea.

And any suggestions are welcome!
