That's right, due on the success of my two Furcenaries based RPs, I have taken it upon myself to write a story based on them. I'm sure there are those out there who liked the RPs enough to be interested in reading this, plus my own creative mind was running rampant with the whole story idea. This story is going to focus on my RP character Randy and his life through the years after he decided to leave active combat operations. Please do give feed back and I hope you enjoy the read.

Chapter 1

Anna stirs from slumber, feeling the morning's light already piercing through the blinds and curtains of the window into her bedroom; illuminating it in its dull glow. She rolls to her left and realizes that her dear husband, Randy, was no longer in bed. He could not have been gone long, his side of the bed was still warm. She opens her eyes to take in the dim lighting of the bedroom, allowing her eyes to adjust to the light without it being a sudden shock. The young fox antro then sits up in the queen sized bed she and Randy share, stretching her arms at full length above her head and feeling her night gown brush against her fur.

After rubbing her eyes a bit, Anna brings herself to finally get out of bed. She swings her feet off the side, stretches her legs a bit, and sleepily stands up out of bed. A few moments later, after having brushed her teeth, combed her hair, and freshened up, she put on her bath robe and set out to find her husband. She steps out past her bedroom door and closes it back quietly, aiming to try and surprise Randy. The carpet of the hallway helped aswell, however the wooden stairs made it more difficult as the claws of her feet clacked lightly with each step.

She returns to carpet and heads towards the kitchen. As soon as she reaches the kitchen, she sees Randy, a tall dark brown wolf anthro wearing a T-shirt and sleeping pants, standing at the stove. The auroma of a full breakfast of eggs, bacon, cheese grits, and biscuits wafts into her nose. Randy stays facing the stove, his back to her, giving the impression he was unaware of her presence; this illusion is shattered as soon as Anna takes one step into the kitchen.

Randy, without facing her, says "Good morning, honey." Anna drops her head, ears, and tail in defeat. Lifting her head back up, she walks fully into the kitchen ands says more to herself than anything else "One of these days, I'mma get you like you get me." Randy turns his head towards her, a cheesey grin on his face, and informs her "Maybe someday. 'Till then, you can keep trying." Anna walks over to Randy and wraps her arms around him, her small frame looking rather awkward in doing so, and playfully tells him "Shut up and keep making my breakfast."

Just then the baby can be heard crying upstairs in the nursery. Anna thinks to go take care of it, but Randy speaks up with "Don't worry about it, it's my turn to go calm her down. Food's just about done, get yourself some coffee and I'll be back down in a few minutes." Reluctently Anna takes her arms from around Randy and begins making her cup of coffee while Randy cleans his hands up a bit before going up to the nursery. All the while the baby continues to cry for attention.

A few moments later Randy is in the nursery. It is a typical room for a baby girl, pink paint on the walls, stuffed animals amongst baby toys, a diaper changing station, a rocking chair, and the most important thing of all, the crib holding the baby herself. Randy goes to the crib and gently picks up his crying daughter and in a soothing voice tells her "Don't worry baby girl, daddy's here." The holding and gentle bouncing Randy is doing with his hands helps calm her down, but what she is really after is the bottle Randy now grabs. She bites onto it and suckles milk, Randy all the while continuing to shake her lightly.

A few minutes later little Elizabeth was done eating, Randy burped her, and he tried to set her back in the crib to go back to sleep. Instead, she went to start crying again. Getting the message, Randy picks her back up and holds her in his arms until she falls asleep. Now he can put her back in the crib successfully. Job done, Randy goes back downstairs to finish breakfast.

Coming back into the kitchen he sees Anna sitting at the table. She looks to him and smiles lightly and asks "How's she doing?" With a straight face Randy walks past answering "Sleeping like a baby." Anna snorts to herself and tells Randy "You're such a smart [censored]." He just grins as he goes over to the stove and takes the biscuits out of the oven to let them cool and gets some plates and silver ware to start serving breakfast.

Randy first makes Anna's plate, finishing it off with two buttered biscuits with some salt and pepper thrown in. He sets it in front of Anna saying "Here you go babe." He leans down and gives his wife a kiss followed by a playful ear bite. Anna pulls her head away fighting the urge to giggle and tells Randy "Thanks hon." She gets him back however, by pinching his butt as he turns to go back and make his plate.

He jumps a bit from the pinch, though he really should have seen it coming. Anna goes to eating and drinking her coffee as Randy makes his plate. Then walks in their son, five year old Randy junior, wearing just his underwear and rubbing his eyes before yawning. Anna looks to her son with a pleasant smile and asks "Hey, baby, smell the breakfast waiting for you?" Junior takes a seat at the table next his mother and answers "No, mama. Lizzy woke me up with her crying. I smelled breakfast and got hungry, so I came out here."

Anna puts an arm around Junior and gives him a good morning hug. Randy comes to the table with his and Junior's plates. He sets Junior's in front of him and, with the now free hand, rubs Junior's head saying "Morning, champ." Junior pushes his father's hand away before picking up his fork and begins eating. Randy takes his seat adjacent to Anna and he too begins eating. He looks at his boy and cannot help in thinking of how Junior looks so much like him with dark brown fur but also like Anna with solid black ears and some black fur towards the end of his muzzle. While their daughter, Lizzy, looks much more like Anna save for a head of brown hair as opposed to Anna's red hair and her green eyes like Randy's instead of like Anna's blue ones.

After some time of eating and iddle chit chat, Randy remembers what today is and asks Junior "Hey bud, you ready for your first day of school?" Junior thinks for a moment and answers simply "No."

"Oh really?" Inquires Randy, an eyebrow raised. He adds "Why not? Think you're big stuff?"

"No. I know I am."

Randy and Anna chuckle a bit. Ever his father's son, whitty remarks and all. Anna composes herself and tells Randy "Think about it babe. Junior already went through day care and pre-K, so this shouldn't be too different for him."

"True" replied Randy before eating some more of his eggs. After swollowing the bites of food, he asked Anna "What's your plan for today sweety?" Anna shrugs, not having given it much thought as to what her day was to be like. She gave it a moment of thought and said "Probably taking care of Lizzy and cleaning the house. Might thumb through the net for a day care for her so I can look for a job." Randy nods and tells her "Well good luck with that, I'm probably just gonna be busy at the base all day like usual."

Shortly after this small conversation, Randy finished his breakfast and was rinsing off the dishes before putting them in the dish washer. Anna and Junior finished as he was closing the dish washer. Randy playfully told Junior "Go get dressed runt. Can't go to school in your undies." Junior started for his room saying to his father "Okay daddy."

"I'll take care of the rest of the dishes" says Anna picking up her and Junior's plates and starting to rinse them off. "You go ahead and get yourself ready for work."

"Thanks babe" says Randy before kissing Anna real quick and going upstairs to their bedroom to take a shower and dawn his uniform.

A few moments after having entered their bedroom, Randy had his uniform laid out and ready along with his other affects for the work day ahead. He himself had just grabbed his under wear and gotten into the shower to freshen up from the morning's PT. Through the water rushing from the shower head Randy's ears pick up the bedroom door opening then closing; a few moments later, Anna's distinct scent was in his nose through the arouma of the soaps. Randy felt that he would never get tired of her scent, among other things, that combined to make his darling wife and mother of his children; however, that "newly wed" feeling they suffered from has rather been worn out by now, while the two of them feel even deeper about eachother than those early years. After some time of scrubbing and rinsing, he was cleaned up so then he dried up, put on his under wear, and proceeded to finish his preparation for the day.

Anna teased him a bit after he got out of the shower, saying "I'd prefer if you didn't have to shower after PT, your scent smells to much deeper and like the true you." Randy begins putting on his digital camo uniform telling her "Well sorry, babe. You might like how I smell, but most other people don't." While Randy readied himself for the day, Anna did the same only skipping the shower step since she tends to take her showers at night, so she just took off the night gown and dawned every day clothes. Randy decided to tease her back by giving a wolf whistle after Anna had taken off her night gown. Anna just grinned while Randy bore a rather smug smirk. She will get him back later some how.

After a short while, Randy was ready for work, he saw Junior off to his first day of school by standing with him until the bus came by, and had kissed a now awake and active Lizzy goodbye adding "Daddy'll see you later, baby girl." He gave Anna a hug and a quick peck on the cheek went out the door to start his morning drive. He did not like this new car much, it had a smart allick of a computer system and he just simply missed the old car his parents had given him upon graduation from high school, but this model was more fuel efficient and is more of a family friendly vehicle. The first thing he did was turn off the computer system that would ask lots of questions like "Would like to use autopilot?", "Where are you wanting to go?", "How would you like to get there?", and so on; and if you worded the response incorrectly, it would ask "Did you mean.....?" God he hates that annoying feature.

Randy and his family lived off base, an option which was a little more expensive, but he and Anna felt it was better for the children to live in a normal neighborhood. It also meant Randy had a bit further of a drive to do before he would get to his office job at the near by army base. While an office job was not exactly his favorite post, especially considering the years he spent in front line infantry posts, but being a family man now he felt it was a better idea to turn his rifle for a computer. After a few moments of driving, and getting through the MP's at the front gate, Randy arrived at his office building. He gets out of his car, straightens his uniform a bit, then heads for the front door thinking to himself "Time to go to work."

Thank you for reading and I will have a new chapter up soon.

I have no idea what the original Furcenaries storyline from the RP was, but what you have here is interesting so far. I like it, gonna keep an eye on it.

I'm assuming there will be some action later on, despite Randy's retirement? Or is this a quieter story, despite the title?

To answer your question Anon, yes and no. I'd rather not give away any of the story, but there will be moments with action of sorts. Thanks for reading BTW

I like the intro section and I'm interested where you could take this. Mullac's right though that was a good RP and I'm hoping for a reboot sometime  hint hint haha. But I'm interested if you're going to include some of the other characters from the RP?

A reboot of the RP sometime? Never knew you guys actually like it *sarcastic voice*

But yeah it was fun, and I'd like to reboot sometime but it'll have to wait as I've gotta leave for basic in a few weeks.

As for other characters from the RP, while I'm not gonna list who all will be in it but don't worry other characters will be in it from time to time, even play a role in the story.

Thanks for reading by the way
