Re: Rookie's Edits and animations
I was listening to Sensorica - Aqua Caelestis when this idea came into my head. Sort of fitting.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Wow these are really awesome, I can imagine a motion comic where some panels have slight amounts of movement to them being really cool!

Re: Rookie's Edits and animations
I suggested that a few weeks ago in the shuffle thread. I think it would be pretty cool if Tom could team up with some of our more talented shufflers *nudge nudge* to put some animation into the comic. So far, I believe there's only been one page that has any sort of animation; the intro to chapter 15. wait for it...Jam wrote:Wow these are really awesome, I can imagine a motion comic where some panels have slight amounts of movement to them being really cool!

Re: Rookie's Edits and animations
The WMM and I made a proof of concept shuffle using that technique when we both started playing around with animations. It can be found on page 636 if you're interested.Jam wrote:Wow these are really awesome, I can imagine a motion comic where some panels have slight amounts of movement to them being really cool!
I wonder which page that is... *Suddenly feels*FrogSteaks wrote:I suggested that a few weeks ago in the shuffle thread. Maybe I should do something with Laura next.
Anyway, I think I found around 4-5 of Tom's animations while diving through his archives. They're quite basic for the most part, probably little side projects for him to play around with. But I'm sure if Tom wanted to/had the time for it there'd be nothing stopping him from doing some more animation work.

Re: Rookie's Edits and animations
Honestly I'm a bit disappointed with this, simply because I wanted to do a lot more with it, but I haven't been feeling great lately and I've lost a lot of motivation to make these things.
This was suppose to be part 1 of possibly 4/5 comic edits to tell Laura's story between the tower explosion and her reappearance on the Na'Rella, but I'm not sure if I'm going to go through with that plan the way things are at the moment.
Thanks to Frogsteaks for letting me bounce some ideas off of him while planning this. Cheers man

That's pretty good. I quite like it.
If you want some advice, I'd say don't make the flashbacks jump around, and maybe put them in quicker succession, like a "life flashing before eyes" kind of thing. It did come out very well, though.

Glad I could be of assistance. I'd love to see the rest of Laura's story, but it's quite all right by me if you don't feel like it.

Actually, that's incredibly good.
Keep the last frame, don't fade it out, and have it finally finished a complete image would be the best idea.

Would love to have a sig but I don't have anything sig worthy to be honest...

Re: Rookie's Edits and animations
So this is something I made this morning for my Rp character in Road to Ditteridge, John Wraithwood.
This is roughly what I want him to look like, but it's not perfect.

So cute. You truely captured her essence of "I'm little and pretty! Love me".
