This is why I don't color any of the work I do anymore... I'm afraid I'll ruin it. I can't do shading either. Whenever I do try to do those things I'm not happy with my results.

I just remembered something. That's Rookie's GF.

Meaning...

That little fox plushie is Rookie.
Daw.
Sorry to disappoint, but there's a bit more to it than that.

So Violet loves cats, absolutely loves their cute fluffy faces. Minor issues with that is that she's very allergic to them...

I mentioned this to Kia and he drew up a little thing so that in some way she'd be able to cuddle a cat without downing a box of anti histamine. The colour scheme is based on my ginger tom Tom, who Violet has a love hate relationship with.

Ok, so after a combination of influence from you guys and my conversations with Kia, I decided to try making something from scratch. Pose and all.

There's got to be a lot of odd edges and clipped colours... It's like 3am for me, but I wanted to get this done before bed.

It looks mostly alright to me rook, there's nothing noticeably jarring when I see it,
Comparing it to your old sketch I might even say this is a significant Improvement

I could pick on the Warhammer 40k gun design, but that's getting nitpicky about the inspirational material.

Thanks for coloring this (;_;) (And props for the pink :P)

And seconding Dadrobit, thanks for all the things you do.

And as far as original art is concerned, you're honestly too good for someone who doesn't draw more. Pretty sure you could get really good if you worked at it.
