Drawing Challenge Week 2: Sci-Fi
This week's challenge is science-fiction, so spaceships and holograms and all that stuff. This one should be easier than last week's one because, in all honesty, Steampunk isnt the easiest (at least in my opinion).
Post your drawings in this thread or have them link to somewhere else. Remember, these are for fun, dont feel pressured to do every week's challenge.

Ah, now this is a genre I'm actually half-decent at drawing. I think I have some old sketches that could provide inspiration....

Just a WIP here, hope the size doesn't derp.
And it didn't. But yeah, just a little fighter craft.

Re: Drawing Challenge Week 2: Sci-Fi
Well, if everything goes according to plan, I might actually get this looking pretty nice in Photoshop! This is, of course, minus my notes on the side, and stuff I can't fit onto paper.
EDIT: And this is after I shrunk the image by 3. Wow. I didn't know it was possible for a camera to produce large, but still crappy images

I've almost finished mine, but here's the shading layer from it. I thought this was interesting because it looks more like a spaceship than a spacestation like this.

It has color now!
And I fixed some derpy lines, etc etc.
Also, Red, is that spaceplane a civilian craft? or are there weapons I'm not seeing?

There's a military version, but you wouldn't see any weapons on it when they aren't in use or about to be. Also, the military version has a camoflage paint scheme.anonfox123 wrote:Also, Red, is that spaceplane a civilian craft? or are there weapons I'm not seeing?
The orange and blue paint scheme on this one tells you its a search and rescue version.

Re: Drawing Challenge Week 2: Sci-Fi
I'm not happy with the way the city turned out but without it, the pic seemed to fit better into the "Fantasy" category.
The grass was supposed to be a hill but I chopped the top of it off when I added the city... I'm going to regret that for a while.
