Whoops, my original comment was about the hand. I hadn't realized this went to Steampunk Lillith.TinyVoices wrote:Damn that's good.Myperson54 wrote:http://imgur.com/a/6tlh4
Thanks, Tiny! It's great to see positive feedback.
Alright, I added a forearm to the hand: Linky because giant resolution!

Here's the updated version of the arm so far. I tried to make it a perspective kind of shot, but I think the sizing failed, for the most part

linky again because of my huge canvas size
The shading on the shoulder looks weird, but otherwise it's good.

Thanks. I figured the shading on the shoulder was odd. I wasn't sure how to get the right angle on it.ticoun wrote:FTFYMyperson54 wrote:Here's the updated version of the arm so far. I tried to make it a perspective kind of shot, but I think the sizing failed, for the most part

Thanks, man! I fixed up some thing I didn't like about the perspective here, but WAIT!?
Heh, I couldn't resist. Anyways, here's the almost finished arm:
And here's a little thing I was screwing around with:

I like the look of the black magic looking thing. Its pretty cool. I was totally picturing the hand that is just forearm coming out of the ground or something. It looked like it would work for that. Anyway nice job man you are doing very good. Keep it up.

I was bored, and so I made this. Yes, the gun looks weird, but that's because it isn't a gun, it's a miniature laser cutter. The knife is also energy-based.
Linked for size again.
And now that I think of it, I maybe should mention that I did this not knowing how to start drawing a rabbit. At one point it actually looked more like a dog. I figure this sketch is my inspiration for a character I'm writing. I'll post about him here when I'm finished.

That's really pretty good for a rabbit (though his ears feel short to me). Rabbits are stupid hard to draw. They just have really strangely shaped heads, which makes them much harder to stylize than animals like dogs and cats.
What's he watching around the corner for?

Re: Watch MP54 stumble through the arts!
Well, originally, I had intended for him to be looking off the screen at an angle of about 30°, but a botched attempt to place an eye on him turned him into an over-the-shoulder monocle bunny, which I fixed after. So now I have a look-out-imma-cut-you-up splinter cell bunny with a laser knife.avwolf wrote:That's really pretty good for a rabbit (though his ears feel short to me). Re: Watch MP54 stumble through the arts!
Thanks! I do wanna be abundantly clear, the original isn't mine; All I did was recreate the picture, as a test of my abilities. I think what that means is I have the ability to draw from a reference, though, which is promising.
When I look back at this now, I notice all the flaws I made, like not taking my time to do a proper fishnet texture, or getting the arm proportions wrong, even down to small details, like the amount of hat in the image, or how one breast kinda looks odd. Still, thank you for the compliment. If you like the original work, you should check out Oomizuao. She's easily one of my favourite artists, which is why I chose her piece.
I haven't done a lot of drawing lately, but I have been designing a card game recently, so might try drawing again for that...
