and in my opinion i think your getting better ... as iv gotten beaten in to my mind so many times... practice makes you better then you were before

Ni'an the Panda. A lovely, sensitive girl. Very short, but very bright and upbeat. A soul so kind she couldn't bring herself to swat a fly. She loves soft silks and plush bedspreads, and adores spiced food, fried rices, and juicy fruits.

Hm. Certainly exceeded my expectations. You're better at digital art than you give yourself credit for. Now, go add some shading or whatever, I dunno, I'm not an artist.

Also sketched out some new Second Gen Armour designs for the Schwarzhundengel. Modular Designs in theory, worn over the standard Gen I Stealth Suit.

On the left is the VALKYRIE Assault Armour. Heavy-duty Ceramica Plating, Threat Level III, with soft IIIa padding under the plates. Custom made specifically for the Schwarzhundengel, and used for Assault Teams.

On the Right is the FREYJA Softshell Paratrooper Outfit. A warm, insulating soft shell jacket and cargo pants, with cutting-edge Gel Armour plates between the insulating layers, allowing a full range of flexibility, but protecting for up to threat level IIIa when hit with a round or similar impact as the gel hardens. Custom made specifically for the Schwarzhundengel, and used for Paratroopers and Scouts.

Try alternatives to gradients. I noticed you used cell shading on the ears - that's a good start. Try that. I think I stopped using gradients on characters about the time I stopped using the Ink Drawing tool on scanned images. Gradients are really only useful on straight things like walls or for producing a dark atmosphere.

My Chapter 6 cover is a good example of how gradients can be used to create such an atmosphere - The wall in the background is made to be darker at the bottom, as the shading on the characters shows there is a light source above them. Then, in a layer above the characters, another gradient is used so that they are also gradually darker towards the bottom of the page. But they still look okay because they have their own cell-blur shading.

Do you catch my drift?

Not my character, drawn for a friend. But DAMN is she hot. Maybe NSFW, torn clothing, shows underwear, slight showing of nipples and cameltoe.

I haven't posted in ages. Because I'm back at school and doing a [censored] ton of work to get my University Offer for Aerospace Engineering in a Russell Group University. So, in true me form, here's some guns, a furry, and some Medieval weapon sketches.
