So I saw this Headline today:
Scientists use new engineered virus to restore sight: `we have now created a virus that you just inject into the liquid vitreous humor inside the eye and it delivers genes to a very difficult-to-reach population of delicate cells. It's a 15-minute procedure, and you can likely go home that day`

Wow, that... that is like literally the entire idea behind NAVIS.
IT'S HAPPENING

NAVIS?
I remember explaining this to someone else, but I can't find my message. No matter.

NAVIS is the acronym for the Nanite Assisted Viral Injection System, a Medical Technology developed by a small independently funded Medical Research Company in London. In theory it can heal any wound in seconds, turn cancerous cells into normal, healthy cells, and many other very useful medicinal things, which works by using Nanite-guided Artificial Viruses to duplicate existing cells, and, in some iterations, materials (for Engineering purposes, e.g patching hull breeches on ships quickly while at sea). A simple concept, complicated implimentation. NAVIS was released into the city of London during a lab accident on December 25th 2012, causing a nationwide panic as the virus spread and subsequently mutated, causing horrendous monstrosities to become of the people and fauna of London. The Thames was dammed as a direct result, the entire city put under quarantine, and later, subject to a tactical nuclear strike to eliminate the threat.

You probably explained it to me, Wolfie.
If every cloud had a silver lining, there would be a lot more plane crashes.

The University of Magic's Uniforms for the female students used to be a lot showier than they are now.

I love how everyone has come to the general conclusion that all ALICE Companion Units are made for that purpose. ;_;

You:
1. Listed civil and companion as separate things.
2. "relaxed, upbeat, and playful nature,"
3. "very good companions to those who could afford one of these advanced AI units"
4. Lack of pants.
5. I'm used to dirty science at this point. I just read this and my mind switched gears.
1. Companion and Civil Models are actually different internally and have different SmartAlloy skins. The Companion Model's SmartAlloy is softer and warmer to better emulate flesh and blood. The Civil model's is a bit tougher to withstand work conditions better.

3. Companion in both ways.

4. Lack of pants is just this one ALICE unit, Arina, who likes shirts and glasses, but doesn't like how tight pants are. =P

5. Understandable and they do have that function after all.

This brings up many questions. Most of which are not safe for the forum, I'm sure.

It's probably exactly what you're thinking.

IT IS THE BAAAANEBLAAAADE
http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/ ... 6czoa3.png

Not really It's actually the RPkfw IV. The Riese Panzerkampfwagen. Which translates to Giant Armoured Fighting Vehicle. Literally, the Giant Tank Four. Somewhat inspired by the German Leopard 2A6 and old Soviet Tank designs, what does it boast?

TWO 135mm Smoothbore Cannons, Two .50 Calibre Machine Guns, Two Dual Rocket Pods! Two pairs of tracks, a suite of communications and countermeasures!

But I haven't finished drawing it, so it doesn't have any reactive armour, countermeasures, treads, etc.
