If this were a battlestar, then that's just the alligator head section. There's still the communications/sensors/hangar area underneath the 'head' to build, plus the centrifuge, drive ring and engine section.

Starmade managed to lose the Vulcan, so I'm building a new battlecruiser with the same design*. It's called the Aegis.



*not entirely, it won't carry salvage cannons, since I have a dedicated salvage ship now.*

Aside from the Observation Deck, this is now about as far as I managed to get with Vulcan. However, I have been saving this one to the catalogue every so often so I don't lose it.

Update on my ship:



My space station and salvage ship are in the background. The Aegis now has its centrifuge section, a proper hangar, communications/sensor arrays, and more internal corridors and rooms [such as the storage rooms.]

WIP, 45 year old Major Heather Cowan, as she appears/is the protagonist in the Prologue chapter.



Still got to design the peacetime soldier uniform, so she's not been given clothes yet. I also took the opportunity to try using references to improve my anatomy. Finally, one of my characters has a chin. The hands look better, I think. I used a picture of someone doing the American salute [Cowan is American, after all] to see how to do the pose.

This is probably also the first time one of my characters still looks right after being flipped horizontally.
