I had an idea for Chapter 6's cover page, and I felt I had to draw it.
So... I guess you're right.

I could probably give you a cameo at some point.

I'll pass the idea on to Earth Military.MUDPUNISHER wrote:A space tank on monster truck tires with 300mm dual smooth bore cannons.. No? Just a thoughtRedDwarfIV wrote:I could probably give you a cameo at some point.

And thanks, Grace, I'll definitely use the redesigned T553. Though I'll probably only shorten the stock on the TC120.

Not a problem Red. I love your designs, though a few could benefit from more realistic proportions. What I interpreted as the slide on the original T553 (due to a lack of ejection port) was a little too skinny at the front, so it would have likely had some major malfunctions with the slide embedding itself in the user's helmet and/or face.RedDwarfIV wrote:I'll pass the idea on to Earth Military.MUDPUNISHER wrote:A space tank on monster truck tires with 300mm dual smooth bore cannons.. You could probably work that into the lore somehow. The original Beretta M9 had similar slide issues where the back end would explode off it.

Good idea. Sounds like an interesting thing for the Incubus Infestation arc - have Holly's TC120 run out of charge, so she opens fire with her pistol. A few shots in, the slide breaks apart, wrecking it. Presumably by this point she'd have met the main characters so there's people to cover her.Grace wrote:Not a problem Red. Quite alot of RA's background and several plot points are based on RPs I've made or been in. The Incubus Infestation arc is based partly on my Parasite RP from Roblox. It takes the alien parasites from that and makes them into an Amathas-made bioweapon. Other than that though, the only similarity it has is that the story takes place in an urban environment.

Re: RedDwarfIV's work [art, doodles, and webcomic]
A quote from my webcomic's blog:
RedDwarfIV wrote:I have finally started actually planning out my story and putting some meat on the plot point bones that were floating in my mind. The chapters at the moment are episodic in nature, usually with an arc being resolved before crossing into the next one - though in some cases, one arc might be kicked off by something that happens at the end of a previous arc. I also decided to get rid of a character that I don't think had much relavence; Guardian. Why would Cowan ask Renaza to look after Teal if Teal already had a bodyguard? And how does one escape one's own bodyguard, and why? The man was a walking plothole.
Also of note is that I'm scrapping the idea of an intro page for every chapter featuring Felix. Until a reader has gotten to know and sympathise with the chatacter, there's no point in building up drama around him - the reader won't care. Instead, I've decided to extend the prologue into its own chapter, and properly setting the scene. It should gice a reasonable idea of who Armathas Research are, what relavence Armathas 12 has, and it should give the reader an idea of what the setting is like. How hard is the sci-fi? What are the GELF and how were they made? What kind of technology level are humans, who do feature in the story, at in the 27th century? What is the motivation for the bad guy?
I think it will explain a heck of a lot more than some cryptic remarks from a character you don't know behaving out of character.
