Frist's Progression of Arts: Request Stream!
Hi, everybody. My main goal here is gain assistance in improving my drawing skill. I'd also like to find a transition from simply paper and pencil - and sometimes pen - to working better with my tablet sometime down the line.
Critiques are appreciated and encouraged, seeing as most of you would know what "good" looks like more so than I would. Tell me whatcha like, tell me what I can do to get better.
So, I guess I'll get on with the showcase. (These first few posts may be more of an art dump than anything, so bear with me, k?)
Just something to commemorate the naming of my comic.
Example of a comic. At the same time, a character birthday, but also marking one year of drawing, which was actually almost 2 months ago.
One of the many things done when home alone.
I always thought Aeris from VGCats - the first webcomic I ever read routine - was sexy. Does that make me a good person?

A gift for this guy on another board I frequent.
Wanted to draw just the bro's of the comic, and couldn't think of a more fitting image. I still love it though.
Done for Mother's day, but definitely not for my mom. She's actually his mom. *Points to Jacknife Hair up there*
*shrug* I had cereal on the mind. >_>

Drew this up as a Fanart for one of my biggest inspirations ever, Jollyjack.
This pretty much sums up how I feel about a week in without any updates to his site.
A Slave to my Mind. Essentially what my little Zenobia will be once I reach the college block of the comic.
She's actually not that small, I just suck at foreground/background play.
(Possibly NSFW) June Teasing. Something I've wanted to draw for a while, and finally did.

June Relaxing after a work. I wanted to draw this forever too.

Re: The Frist Progression of Sketchin' Lots of Stuff
A perfect example of how badly I rust over after a few days of not drawing. >_>
Piece I did for Sis.
I feel it's one of my better ones.
In response to that promo a few days ago. I ordered 2.. I'm not joking >_>.
It seems that many series out there always have that one character with a spider mech or module on their back that gives them extra arms or limbs or something and allows them dynamic mobility. That last bit's not detailed here.
I had.. Beyblade on the mind.. I just wanted to give Dustin one. >_>
Aaaand I think that's it for now.

^_^ Thanks! Hopefully I can take some drawing classes up in college this coming year, and get some help in inking and such.bond84 wrote:Good sire!?!

The quality of these is really impressive. I'd love to see more, and it'd be really cool to see them lined and inked as well (although primarily, MORE!)

The catgirl thong one is my overall fave so far...

Hey, nice work. I especially love the one of the girl sitting at her computer with her back to the audience. She isn't all freakily sexed up like most drawn females, and she has a very relaxed, natural look to her.
Also, because it was a an initial picture dump, the multiple posts are fine, but in the future try to not double post if you can help it.

^_^; sure, I can do that. It'll take a bit to get used to the posting etiquitte here, but I can pull it off.Verilidaine wrote:Hey, nice work. But yeah, that one computer one, I actually took a picture of Sis when she was sitting at it and used it as my reference. Probably why it looks so calm and natural.
Thanks! Which one, may I ask?leoian wrote:Wow that's nice I love your little furr character =3
Thanks! To be honest, it just seems that when I try to ink them, they never come out nearly as good as the sketch, be it in photoshop or inking pens. Mainly because my lines usually look really trashy and jittery. Need some help with that for instance.Sebbie wrote:The quality of these is really impressive. Todays Work: Man, this took me hours. Kinda pathetic. Still, for my first tablet work in a while, I like how it came out.

Re: Frist's Progression of Sketchin a Jewelry Display
Today's work. The lines for the counter display didn't come out as great as I wanted, but that's just something to fix for next time. Yeah, sorry for 2x post, but it'd been down here a while.

Yeah, in the drawing threads as long as it's been more than a day or so the double post is fine. You shouldn't have to not post new artwork just because people didn't comment.
That said, on this one, I'm really impressed with the perspective through the glass, nice work.
