Like to say hello to anyone and everyone here.
Learned of TwoKinds earlier this week, and was immediately addicted, and with allot of downtime during my 3rd shift job I managed to plow through the entirety of it in a few nights. Now TwoKinds and it's characters have become an obsession of mine. Surprisingly, I didn't find the comic through Tom's brother Mark like allot of people probably have, I actually didn't learn about them being brothers until I was around page 900. I was pretty floored when I figured that out. lol
Yes, I quite love cars and working on them, and while not having allot of money to do so, modifying cars.
I daily drive a 5-speed Manual 91 Ford Festiva with a 1.8L DOHC Engine swap. Other modification i've done to the car since I bought it back in 2012, include 13" Aftermarket Rims (Upgrade over stock 12" steelies) Honda Prelude seats, Honda shortshifter, replaced Automatic seat belts with manual belts, various dealer/factory options added, bigger brakes and stiffer rear-twist beam/axle, and the biggest modification being first replacing the 67HP 1.3L SOHC Stock engine, with a 1.6 SOHC from a Mercury Tracer, which had nearly 90 HP, then pulled that engine swapped it out for a 1.8L DOHC engine rated at up to 140HP out of an Escort GT (Also same engine as the ones used in the 1.8L Mazda Miatas in the 90s.)
But anyway some more about myself.

Hello and welcome to the forums! I'm not sure if there is a huge number of people that found Twokinds because of Tom's brother. I personally had never heard of him before Twokinds. Anyways, we have lots of fun stuff to do here if you take the time to look around! Just remember to read the rules! Oh, and don't drink the water... I've heard bad things...

Heh. I wouldn't drink any water on the internet if I could. Never know what's in it. lolHayate wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2017 3:10 am Hello and welcome to the forums! I would have thought quite a few people would have found out about TwoKinds through Mark, because he's mentioned it on more than one occasion in his videos, most recently was back in April with his revisit of the game SCP, and someone in the Superchat asked if Mark was the inspiration/outline for Trace, and also asking who was Flora based off of. Of course since these questions were more for Tom, Mark had no idea. lol

All I know is that I see "Oh, Tom is Mark's brother?" quite a lot

I shouldn't be surprised how popular the comic has got regardless of Mark. Heck I found TwoKinds because I saw the "Pantsless Policy" picture of Flora on Deviantart, and then the rest is history. Well recent history. lol

Welcome to the forums!
There are a couple other gearheads on the forum, and at least one thread dedicated to cars, so you should have at least some good company here.
Personally, I found the comic back in '09, so Mark had nothing to do with my own discovery lol. But yeah, afaik Mark doesn't mention TK all that often, so the majority reaction that I see when folks find out is, "wait, they're brothers?!?"
(Graveyard Security eh? Just got out after two years myself. Totally with you on spending company time here online! )

Yup, that was pretty much how it happened for me. Told a buddy about the comic, and he's like "Dude, you know that's Markiplier's brother right."Dadrobit wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2017 6:07 am But yeah, afaik Mark doesn't mention TK all that often, so the majority reaction that I see when folks find out is, "wait, they're brother's?!?"

For how many videos Mark churns out, it doesn't surprise me he doesn't talk about it often, but he has at least a handful of times. Plus there wouldn't be all that much reason for him to be mentioning it out of the blue anyway even if he was trying to help Tom promote the comic.
And yup, graveyard security, easiest 40 hour a week job I could get, and to work. so I am not complaining. Hourly wage kinda sucks but it's at least a livable wage. A little more than just scraping by. lol Probably look for a higher paying one in the future. I have an old friend that works at a different security company than I do, doing less work, and gets paid like $5 more an hour, lucky [censored]. lol

Oh, you're on the forums as well! Not sure if me saying welcome makes any sense, but welcome anyway I guess
