A lame title, but all I could think of. Obligatory introduction thread go~

Let's see... alias is just an online moniker I came up with at random, based on a shirt I was wearing at the time I was registering for an online game quite a few years ago. I bear no relation to any marine life whatsoever - at least, not within a couple hundred million generations or so. Also, the '-son' suffix ought to give away my gender. As for what I do, all but finished with my master's, now in the 'looking for a job' market, which has been less successful than I would have hoped so far. Still gotta keep trying, though. Other than that, live with my dog.

Hobbies and interests? I'm a fairly big history buff - particular favorite area of interest being medieval Europe. Also play plenty of video games, primarily within the strategy genre, but not the only genre. Have had a couple of creative projects I've worked on and off just because I love going through the world-building process when my mind gets going, but I'm not quite as good with populating them with characters, leaving a huge stack of ideas just sitting in the back of my head. I mean, I can write a few, but generally have a hard time focusing on more than that, and well... one or two characters does not a story make. Unless you're writing Waiting for Godot, I suppose.

As for why I joined, well... probably something to do with binge-reading all 800+ pages in the last day. Probably.
