Love old music, though I listen to just about anything. I'll like old rock mostly. Right now I'm listening to "Mellow Yellow"

I tend to listen to most rock and metal...
Let's give a little list
Pennywise, Bullet for my Valentine, Korn, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Hatebreed, Unearth, In Flames, Mastodon, Metallica, Static X, All That Remains, As I Lay Dying, Blink 182, Disturbed, Nirvana, Dope, Godsmack, It Dies Today, Janez Detd (local punk band :p), Nonpoint (bullet with a name... remember?), Papa Roach,...
you know what I'll stop here ^^^but I think that got the point across that I don't really stay in one genre of rock
It wasn't me honestly

Genres: Oh. Well. Give me some of all of them (except for rap and scremo, I hate scremo the most).

Bands:
I tend to just pick the best songs I can find, regardless of the artist, but at the moment, A Perfect Circle, Depeche Mode, and Rammstein each have more than their fair share of space, as do Billy Talent, Nickelback, and Linkin Park.
And so it was that Godhead Pickle Inspector created the universe. He regarded His creation with fondness and saw that it was good.

Genres: OSTs, rock, rap, classical, techno, electronica, metal, alternative, small bits of screamo and pop.

I've got way too many bands/singers/music makers/groups that I like, but a few would be Linkin Park, Hoobastank, Acceptance, Steve Conte, E. S. Posthumus [they make trailer music], X-Ray Dog [more trailer music], Breaking Benjamin, Death Cab for Cutie, Eminem, Evanescence, Staind, Hans Zimmer, Final Fantasy and everyone who works on it, especially the piano pieces, Lostprophets, Maroon 5, everyone who works on the Ghost in the Shell OST, Muse, Styles of Beyond, Nickelback, Martin O'Donnell, Phil Collins, Scatman John, Gavin Rossdale, Stone Sour, Gorrilaz, and Yellowcard.

Okay, so maybe that wasn't a few. :)

I guess it depends on what I'm doing. If I'm just messing around, then rock (dragonforce, linkin park, nickleback, etc). But I'm often studying in the campus library until 3 in the morning, so I want something softer, usually Johnny Cash or Eagles.

Serj Tankian ELECT THE DEAD! Woo! Just came out and it's very good.
Other bands you ask? Well there's:
Mindless Self Indulgence and Reel Big Fish. Those are the current bands I am listening to. I listen to my others but these are the newest. ^.^
They all deserve to die,
Even you.

AHH! Get outta my head!

Seriously though, this is an awesome list!

I pretty much pride myself on having a music library diverse enough that no matter who I have over to visit, there's always several things they can play and enjoy.

In fact, I'd have to say the only stuff I don't listen to is whichever 15 songs get played over and over again on the radio that month. Pretty much the only reason I don't like those is because I have to hear them over and over for 40 hours a week while I'm at work.

For a very small sample of specifics (Chosen by telling itunes to generate a party list of 15 songs, reordered alphabetically by artist):

Aerosmith - "Janie's Got a Gun"
Alizée - "Tempête"
The Beatles - "Help!"
Brooks & Dunn - "Boot Scootin' Boogie"
Gnarls Barkley - "Feng Shui"
Harold Faltermeyer (Top Gun Expanded Score) - "Who's Side Are You On/Never Again"
Hitoshi Sakimoto (Final Fantasy XII OST) - "Giruvegan Enigma"
Hitoshi Sakimoto (Final Fantasy XII OST) - "Naivete"
Jay-Z - "Anything"
Jennifer Knapp - "Say won't you say"
Johnny Cash - "Man in Black"
Mindless Self Indulgence - "Planet of the Apes"
Project 86 - "Sincerely, Ichabod"
Third Day - "Thief"
Trans-Siberian Orchestra - "After the Fall"
