Introducing Yourself (Musicians Only)

#1 Post by Tekros » Fri Nov 11, 2016 7:30 pm

Hello and welcome to the Music Board! A place for musicians, listeners, and purveyors of music to come together, interact, think freely, and show their support for the musical community around them, both here on the forums, and elsewhere!

Artists, this is the place to introduce yourself, tell the community what sort of music it is that you write, how long you've been writing, what your goals and aspirations are as an artist, and to discover any other new artists that we may have join our community.

Please do NOT use this thread for advertisement, or propaganda.

This is simply a place to introduce us to who you are as a musician, and to give us a feel for what it is that YOU FEEL when writing music. Share, explore, discover, and pursue new and different types of music here on the board. I look forward to seeing the many different types of music that you all share for the many years to come as this board gains popularity, and notice amongst the people of this great and expansive community. :P Happy posting to you!!!

Hello everyone! I am Tekros, The Music Demon!

I write electronic video game theme music, and am currently working on the latest soundtrack for TwoKinds Online. I have been writing music all of my life, though I have been writing digital music for nearly the past 2 years. I have played the trombone for 8 years, and the piano for nearly the same. I enjoy all genres of music, generally anything with harmonious melody, and a good rhythm! Beat is also very important to me as well. I am planning on upgrading my music production software in the near future to FL-Studio ALL-PLUGINS version, and will be producing Studio Quality music for you when that moment arises. I look forward to watching this community flourish and develop over the coming years, and getting to know the many quirky and unique artists that shall come to join our musical covenant! ^__^

Artist pseudonym: Redux (Bob isn't even my name)
Genre: Electronic (I don't even know how to classify it beyond that, help would be appreciated), metal (nothing uploaded), and acoustic fumblings (on my SoundCloud).

Pretty much everyone says my stuff seems very video game oriented, but I also take a lot of inspiration from NIN. Doesn't sound similar, but I do make a lot of melodies and harmonize a lot too. I like to think my tracks also exude a mood similar to their titles, but the listeners are the ultimate final say on anything.

I make music for myself first, stuff that I like and hope others will like too. I make everything with mouse and keyboard in FL Studio on a computer from 2006. If there's anything else you'd like to know, don't hesitate to ask.

I'm also looking for a new collaboration partner.

Allo! Im the vocalist/lyricist/keyboards of 4 bands and I manage 3 more.

My current projects are still inthe writing phase(seeing as I've had problems finding bandmates who are sober) when I have some music Ill share it.

Oh, neat, music board.

My name is Shockfrost, and I write/play acoustic guitar music.

Started out self-teaching myself bass guitar 9 years ago when I was 9, just kinda dinking around. Last year, my junior year, I took a class to learn the acoustic guitar. From there I taught myself to play the ukulele. Now I am decent enough at music theory to write and play my own music.

What do I write? Mostly acoustic tracks. Single guitar can actually sound pretty good, if you play a good one. My Walden Concorda CD550CE serves me well when doing theory runs and recordings. I have a nice instrumental in the workings, just need a second guitarist.

I also have some other tracks I work on my tablet, using the Ensemble Composer Pro application. Brass and other experimentations, and some brief 10 second jingles. Pretty interesting.

I also sing some.
Through vigilance and strength, we create peace.
