Approved and all that jazz.
Appearance:
Standing at 5'7", Lisa actually owns and wears the cape seen in her profile picture as well as the eye patch. While the eyepatch is simple leather reinforced by metal, the cape's epaulette is actually two thick multi-layer pads of leather sandwiching a thin metal plate. The area around her upper torso also has a thin light mail layer weaved into the back of the cape to provide protection against arrows and slashes. To further compliment the protection her cape provides, she also wears a hardened leather chest plate under the cape to provide further protection against piercing attacks.
For clothing, she prefers to wear a loose grey short sleeved shirt, white camisole, well worn travelling pants, a belt with multiple pouches attached, and heavy black naval boots riveted metal plating over the foot and calves. The metal plates on the calves seem to have been installed more recently than the foot cover. However the foot plates are much more thinner than the calve plates. For accessories, she has a pair of padded leather gloves with armored fingers and knuckles that keep the shock of clashing swords from number her fingers as well as providing some protection against grazing hits to her hands. Finally, she does own and wear a naval leather collar but it is very uncommon to see her with it.
Lisa prefers her left hand and wears her Hand-and-a-Half and Arming Sword on her right side. Her Zweihander is wrapped lightly in fabric and worn on the back over her cape.
Name:
Lisa Inazuchi
Age:
25
Species:
Human
Languages:
Lisa speaks Human, Bad Wolf Tongue, and Conversational Basitin.
Class:
Former Naval Marine, Currently Soldier
Skills:
Ambidextrous
Lisa is ambidextrous with a preference for her left.
Twin Blade Fighting
Lisa is capable of using two swords at once without losing any level of skill or killing ability.
Boarding Action
Most fighters hate getting in close and having to fight in buildings, thick woods, or other situations where movement can be restricted and terrain is unpredictable. Lisa, being a marine, thrives in fighting in these situations.
Stitching and Cloth Repairs
Repairing sails and other cloth parts of a ship takes quite a bit and is rather important. Thankfully, the skills of cloth repair can be translated to other places.
Equipment:
Hand and a Half Sword
Lisa's personal sword, this 45 inch long Hand and a Half can be used as both a one handed weapon and a two handed weapon depending on the situation. Notably, the section slightly above and below the diamond section of the blade, including the diamond section of the blade, is not sharpened to more easily allow for half-sword techniques and to increase durability when using that area to block or catch other swords.
Arming Sword
A one handed 37 inch long Arming Sword, this particular version is an interesting example as the lower half of the blade has not been sharpened. Furthermore, of that lower half, most of it has been wrapped with leather and further reinforced by riveting some additional metal to the dull blade. This results in a weapon that is poorly balanced for precision slicing or cutting and is also difficult to swing in wide arcs. However, the weight of the weapon and the shape of its blade makes it a devastating chopping and stabbing weapon due to the surprising amount of force behind the weapon. Despite this, Lisa usually uses it to block against attacks.
Zweihander
This Zweihander is a clearly looted weapon due to the inscription on the sheath denoting it to be for a "Captain Luka Aragus for the Successful Third North Campaign against the Arctic Wolves". This weapon is quite literally longer than she is tall due to it being almost 68 inches long. Lisa actually wears the weapon on her back and at an angle as a direct result of its size. Lisa herself can use the weapon, though barely with any proficiency. It is a rather intimidating and savage weapon despite her lack of mastery with it and its sheer size and mass allows it to part other weapons and armor with little difficulty.
Personality:
Lisa is a rather gregarious and rowdy person with a slightly cocky attitude when it comes to combat. She also hates, with a burning passion, Templars and hates Keidrans. However, her hate for Templars eclipses her hate for Keidrans and, as such, is willing to work with them if only to further spite the Templars. Personally, she feels that pacifying the Keidran lands is the right way to go about things but not when the Templars are doing it. She has decided that she will take trophies off defeated Templar commanders when possible, though she has yet to encounter a second templar commander.
History:
Lisa grew up in a small village near Wolf territory and raids were a common occurrence growing up. Eventually, her family left to more interior territory close to the sea after losing too many neighbors in these raids. As a result, Lisa grew up fearing and hating the wolves. With this in mind, she joined the navy and was assigned to a flotilla of frigates that was patrolling the Grand Sea for pirates when the Templars started taking over. When one of the villages requested help in resisting Templar subjugation, Lisa's flotilla captain decided that it was their duty to help them. The marines on board would provide assistance on the ground while the frigates would provide assistance via bombardment.
As it turns out, resisting an army of mage knights when none of your own side can use magic is damn near impossible. While the marines stood their ground and were almost successful at repelling the templar normal troops, the mages showed up and quickly forced the tide against the Marines. Out matched, backs against the burning and mostly destroyed village, and with a lot of the villagers are dead or captured, the marines opted to retreat back to the frigates. Except as it turns out the Frigates were also on fire and burning after a few Templars managed to ignite them with magic.
Trapped with nowhere to run to, most of the Marines attempted to make a final last stand while others attempted to make a run for it. Injured in the earlier fight, Lisa was forcibly evacuated from the area as the other marines held off the Templars long enough for the wounded and unwilling to leave the area. Later, she learned that the Templars had spun off her flotilla as a rouge deserting unit that had resorted to piracy with the village and villagers being devastated due to fighting between them and the Templars. Infuriated beyond previous levels, she swore a blood oath to hunt down as many of the Templar leaders as she can find. Although she got lucky with the first kill, she has yet to encounter another Templar commander.
