Approved.

EDIT: added in the Tracking skill and gave pics for the weapons. Again, approved.

Appearance: Portrait. 5'7" tall. She's moderately toned with fair skin.
Full Name: Private First Class Jacquelyn Erinson
Nickname: "Valkyrie" by her family
Age: 28
Gender: Female
Role: Field Surgeon
Personality: She's not the class clown, but she likes to think she doesn't have a stick up her [censored] either. She'll warm up easy to the right people, but recent events have left her a little more distant and melancholy than usual.
Skills:

The Title Says it All: With a modest background in the medical field, Jacquelyn knows what her job is, and she does it well. Through calm and chaos, clear skies and blistering weather, she's become moderately experienced at tending the wounded in a variety of environments and scenarios.

Krav Maga: After returning from his deployment in the Middle East, Jacquelyn's father came home ready to show her a few techniques in the brutal-but-efficient fighting style that he picked up from some Israeli soldiers. Her knowledge of the style could hardly be called extensive, but she's practiced enough to be able to take on more than a fair share of opponents in close-quarter combat.

Tracker: Jacquelyn's life on a farmhouse gave her father plenty of excuses to take her with him to go hunting. From all those years, she's learned the finer points of tracking and killing various animals.

Weaponry:

FN P90 with Suppressor: 6.7 lbs.
6 50-round clips, 4 lbs.

Beretta M9: 2.5 lbs.
4 15-round clips, 1 lb.

Ontario SPAX Rescue Tool: 1.65 lbs.

Equipment:

First Aid Tactical Trauma Kit: 11 lbs.
Includes band-aids, gauze, pain relievers scalpels, forceps, penlight...basically, a lot of medical gear.

Improved Outer Tactical Vest: 30 lbs.
Ballistic plate inserts, ammo pouches, groin protector. The whole nine yards.

Standard Army Fatigues w/ boots: 8 lbs.

Coat: 2 lbs.

Background: For the longest time, Jacquelyn considered herself part of the luckiest family alive. Five generations of service in the military, and the worse her family had ever had to deal with was when her grandfather lost his left arm.

...That is, until after the outbreak happened.

As much as she might want to, it's impossible for Jacquelyn to forget the day. A breezy September evening at her parents' farm, three and a half months after the "Zombie Virus" was released. Normally she would've been out in the quarantine zones with her fellow soldiers, but after the nukes dropped, she drove out to the old farmhouse and locked herself in with the rest of her family...or those that survived.

Things had been quiet for a time after that, but as her family had learned time and time again, peace never lasted.

One of the splinter groups of the scrambled military had found and proceeded to besiege the little farmhouse, an outfit of outstanding US soldiers reduced to panic, thievery and murder. Jacquelyn and her family were not ill-prepared for an assault, but the firepower from the splinter group left the house in shambles and burning to the ground.

In the chaos of the fight, Jacquelyn somehow managed to get herself to the family's old Ford pickup. Fighting through the pain of a broken arm and various cuts and bruises, she found herself blasting through the back gate of the farm plot, driving out for miles.

Eventually she came upon the base. Despite trying several times, Jacquelyn has had no luck contacting the rest of her family. And in the end, she can't help but assume the worst...

...As well as wonder if she shouldn't have suffered the same fate.

Misc: Besides the standard military dog tags, Jacquelyn also has a third tag with only the word "Valkyrie" engraved on it, a gift from a few years back from her parents.

Theme/Speech Color: "Shut up and lay back unless you want the other one broken!"

So uh, some things occurred and I didn't get to finish my sheet yet. Don't have much left, can probably finish it up tomorrow. With any luck, the IC is still a go for Monday.

EDIT: Finished my CS, here it be.

Appearance: Stands at 5'11 normally, just shy of 6'1 in boots.

Full Name: Senior Agent Catherine Burke

Nickname: Cat/Kat to the rare friend, Agent Burke to everyone else.

Age: 36

Gender: Female

Role: Reconnaissance/Designated Marksman

Personality: Being accustomed to working alone, she tends to be critical of her teammates, and can come across as being harsh. She's never really clarified, though. Maybe she's just a [censored].

Skills:
Marksman - Catherine is not some kind of miraculous master sniper or anything. She is, however, an excellent shot. She wasn't a natural. In fact, when she first qualified in training, she barely qualified at all. She didn't like that. Her current accuracy is borne of practice and thousands of bullets sent downrange. She's now comfortable and accurate with a variety of firearms, but there are still some she's unfamiliar with.

Knee-To-Face - She isn't an expert at hand-to-hand combat, per-say, but she has been trained to perform various lethal and non-lethal takedowns as well as how to avoid or break out of them if they were used on her. In the event of actual hand-to-hand combat, she isn't above fighting dirty, and is quite proficient in using her surroundings to her advantage.

Recon - 'Advanced Scouting'. Catherine has been trained and has plenty of experience in performing recon. She can slip into an area unseen, find important [censored], and identify important people, then slip out before anyone knows she was there. She prefers doing this from a distance, however. Includes basic cartography skills and advanced navigational skills.

Basic Leadership - Exactly what it says on the tin. She had to go to Airman Leadership School before being promoted to E-5 back in her Air Force days. She got a bit of hands-on experience working for the PMC and a snippet of extra training from the CIA. Catherine is not the most qualified individual to lead a squad, but she isn't stupid and isn't lacking in composure for the job.

Survival [censored] - Simple training and hands-on experience surviving in the wilderness or abandoned cityscapes. Catherine is a capable scavenger in urban environments, and knows what is edible or poisonous in the wilderness. In the event of a lack of medical supplies, she picked up a few tricks from a JSOC medic.

Packmule - Despite her relatively small frame, Catherine is capable of carrying enough gear for the long haul. Having to go long periods without resupplies tends to make that a necessity.

Multilingual - Agent Burke is fluent in English, Russian, German, Korean, and Japanese. She also knows bits and pieces of French and Spanish.

Law - Part of her training to be a Security Forces Specialist included a course on civilian and military law. She toyed with the idea of becoming a detective or lawyer at one point after getting out. Pretty useless these days, though.

Random Knowledge - Turns out that guard duty is pretty [censored] boring, big surprise. Catherine read a lot to keep from sleeping on the job, and the primary reading material available was military manuals. Most of the information is useless, but she picked up a few gems. Such as how to make explosives out of urine or blood. She also learned to play guitar at some point and now enjoys doing it in her downtime.

Weaponry:
SR-25E2 APC (12.9lbs Unloaded) - Catherine's personal rifle. A semi-automatic 7.62 NATO DMR with a 16" barrel and unrivaled accuracy for its size. Manufactured by Knight's Armament Company. The charging handle has been replaced with an ambidextrous one, also manufactured by KAC. As well, the stock was replaced with a Magpul PRS. Catherine has outfitted this rifle with a Harris HBRS Bipod (With KAC Mount), Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 3.5-10X scope with Illuminated TMR Reticle (KAC Mount), and a KAC 7.62 QDC Suppressor. She kept the factory BUIS. 20-round PMAG with 4 spare. 100 total rounds in reserve. Kept on a tight quick-release sling over left shoulder.

MTAR-21 (7.3lbs Unloaded) - A compact 5.56 NATO assault rifle currently in service with the Israeli military. Agent Burke acquired it via unknown means. She's outfitted it with an EOTech 558 Holosight. 30-round PMAG, 3 spare. 140 total rounds in reserve. Usually carried. Slung over right shoulder or attached to pack when not.

P226 MK25 (2.3lbs Unloaded) - Catherine's own pistol. The civilian model of a pistol used by US Navy SEALs. Catherine has neglected to comment on why she carries it. Sights were replaced less than a year ago. Has an Osprey K45 Suppressor and Streamlight TLR-4. 9mm, 15-round magazine, 5 spare magazines. 125 total rounds in reserve. In a thigh holster on right thigh.

Combat Knife (0.8lbs) - 12.3" total length, 7" blade. Also acquired by unknown means, around the same time as the MTAR. Perhaps a bit fancy for the job, but it does it well. Sturdy enough for utility purposes as well, and has several marks on the blade that indicate it was used for exactly that. In Kydex sheath on back of belt, partially covered by jacket.

Equipment:
Clothing (4lbs) - White undershirt, thin black wool sweater, dark grey BDU pants, belt, wool socks, undergarments.

Boots (4lbs) - Cold/Wet weather combat boots, likely bought from some surplus store. Black, well-worn leather with molded soles and synthetic liners. Pretty warm, and mostly waterproof. Pants are tucked in.

Field Jacket (Pictured) (1.5lbs) - Loosely based on the US Army's M65 Field Jacket. Several pockets, mostly empty. Winter liner is buttoned in, faux-fur trim winter hood attached. Not the warmest of winter jackets, but it's waterproof and blocks the wind well. Combined with warm clothing underneath it's perfectly acceptable, even in extreme cold for short periods and more mild cold for long ones. Catherine's is one size too large, but with good reason.

Shooting Gloves (1lb) - A pair of gloves intended to protect the hands while not hindering the wearer's ability to shoot accurately. Not the warmest, but better than nothing. Dark Grey.

Shemagh (Pictured) (0.2lbs) - A simple, large cloth with many uses. Currently used as a thin scarf and/or mask.

Goggles (0.3lbs) - A simple, single-piece pair of goggles with bullet-resistant photochromic lenses. (They darken/lighten based on how much light there is.) Good for preventing snow-blindness and keeping unsavory things out of your eyes.

Headset (0.5lbs) - Low-profile hands-free radio headset. Military-grade, intended for use with a wrist-computer or other form of ruggedized computer system. (Tablets, smart phones, etc.) When linked with a computer of some sort, it is capable of utilizing most common forms of military radio frequencies and encryptions. Disconnected, it is stuck on whatever frequency and form of encryption last used. Button on the side toggles mic on or off, microphone is high-quality, directional mini-boom, with hard-coded calibrations for voice. Can transmit Morse code via computer, and is perfectly capable of receiving it as well. Has between a three and five mile effective radius depending on certain conditions. Typically used by PMCs as the need for an additional peripheral for proper functionality turned off the military. Surprisingly comfortable to wear for long periods and does not muffle outside sounds. FDE coloration, matte-black wireframe. It is compatible with most radios currently in use by NATO forces.

Light Plate Carrier (8lbs for vest+inserts) - Combines a LBV (Load-Bearing Vest) with body armor. A tactical vest with trauma plate inserts to prevent untimely death by lead poisoning. Not as heavy as the usual armor troops wear, the drawback is of course the lower protection offered. It holds, and contains one chest insert and one back insert. Catherine replaced the solid ceramic plates with lighter "soft" plates, made of many layers of a fibrous material. Capable of defeating a 5.56 FMJ round, probably. The vest itself is mostly kevlar, the sides being reinforced and the straps and other, less important bits are ballistic nylon to reduce weight. A total of five magazine pouches are spread out along the bottom-half of the vest, two intended for 2 30-round 5.56 magazines each and three for two 20-round 7.62 NATO magazine each. There are also three grenade pouches, each intended to hold a single M67 Fragmentation Grenade, nestled in between the mag pouches. One small storage pouch is located over the left breast/shoulder area. Dark grey, similar shade as her pants.
--Ammunition (5lbs) - Both 5.56 pouches have magazines in them, one in one and two in the other. Two of the 7.62 pouches have two magazines each.
--Grenades (2.5lbs Including pouches) - Two M84 Stun Grenades share a grenade pouch, and one MK3A2 Concussion Grenade sits all alone in the other.
--Storage (3lbs including pouches) - One of the grenade pouches contains a WPT Nightvision (High-clarity B&W) add-on sight, all set up to be mounted on Catherine's SR-25 or MTAR at a moment's notice. It can also be used stand-alone as a handheld unit. No additional zoom, and has an IR illuminator for extreme low-light conditions. In the pouch meant for actual storage is what was once a wrist computer. Now it's basically a tablet or smart phone without the phone capabilities. A wire leads out of the pouch connecting to the headset.
--Poptarts (0.8lbs including pouch) - Two packages of Wildberry poptarts occupy an otherwise-empty 7.62 NATO magpouch.

Pistol Holster (2lbs including magazines) - Holster intended for full-frame pistols with suppressors attached. Not to say you couldn't use it if you didn't have a suppressor attached. Utilizing strappy-clippy things it sits on Catherine's right thigh, with an additional strap attaching to her belt to help hold it in place. Two pistol magazine pouches, each with one magazine in it, are built-in. Black.

Additional Magpouches (2lbs including magazines) - Part of a matching set with the holster, three pistol magazine pouches utilizing a similar strappy-clippy setup is attached to her left thigh. Also black.

Satphone (1lb) - A simple ruggedized satphone. In perfect working condition, but can strangely only receive- not send. Belt clip, attached to belt.

MAG-TAC (0.3lbs) - A high-powered miniature Maglite. Powered by 2 CR123 batteries. Clipped onto belt.

Compass (0.2lbs) - A standard military-issue compass. Kept in a pants pocket.

Pack of Smokes (0.1lb) - A beat-to-hell pack of cigarettes. Catherine's tried to quit several times over the years, but the sudden zombie apocalypse wasn't exactly conducive to quitting. She's settled on cutting down, since supply is finite. 15 left. Kept in a jacket pocket.

Zippo (0.2lbs) - Not actually Zippo-brand, just a knockoff she found. Satin finish with a hand giving the finger etched onto one side. Kept in a pants pocket.

Backpack (2lbs empty) - Black pack with a low profile. If you know how to pack it, still holds quite a bit. Fitted with quick-release straps in case of emergencies.
--1L Canteen (2.5lbs) - In a large pouch on the side of the pack.
--MRE x7 (7lbs) - In the backpack. Various kinds.
--Multivitamins (0.3lbs) - A good supplement for a poor diet if taken for a long enough period. Higher dosage than usual. Bottle of fifty, 33 remaining.
--Utensils (1lb) - Travel set. Everything you need to eat a good meal in the middle of nowhere, assuming you can find and/or cook a good meal to eat. Stored in a ziplock bag.
--Change of clothes (4lbs) - A clean, dry change of clothes kept in a large ziplock bag.
--Weapon Maintenance Kit (3lbs) - Various small tools, cleaning solutions, oils, and a small set of replacement SR-25 parts. Stored in a waterproof polymer case.
--Map (0.2lbs) - A small map of the city and surrounding area. Two grease pencils are kept with it for marking things.
--Solar Charger (3lbs?) - A small charging unit with adapters for the 'tablet' and satphone. An extendable solar panel provides the charging capability. Takes about four hours of sunlight to fully charge the tablet or satphone.
--Li-Ion Battery (0.5lbs) - Spare battery for satphone.
--AA Batteries (1.5lbs) - 24-pack of Lithium AAs. Used by NV Sight and EOTech holosight.
--CR123 Batteries (0.6lbs) - 12-pack of Lithium CR123s. Used by Streamlight TLR-4 and Maglite.
--Box of 9mm (1.3lbs) - 50 rounds in a box.
--Box of 7.62 NATO (0.7lbs) - 20 rounds in a box.
--Box of 5.56 NATO (0.5lbs) - 20 rounds in a box.

Sleeping Bag (5lbs) - A sleeping bag for use in cold climates. Rolled and strapped to the bottom of the pack. Gray.
(95.6lbs total?)

Background: Catherine joined the Air Force as a Security Forces Specialist at 18, mostly to spite her father. She signed on for a four year tour and managed to make E-5 in that time. She went private once her tour was over, signing a one-year contract with a PMC. Once that expired, she renewed it for another year. It paid well and was more interesting than the Air Force was.

Interestingly, during her second contract, she often found herself linked to JSOC or SAD units to provide support. During those times she became acquaintances with certain people of an influential nature.

Through them, she ended up getting a job with the CIA when her contract expired again. And that's where she's been for the past twelve years.

She happened to be on vacation when [censored] hit the fan, and was lucky enough that the vacation consisted of staying at home and marathoning shows and movies on Netflix while ordering takeout from everywhere within a 50-mile radius.

Somewhere along the line she stumbled upon the remnants of the CDC and inadvertently helped form the task force.

Misc: Still has a letter of recommendation from a Technical Sergeant in the Air Force's 24th Special Tactics Squadron. Also has a cheap guitar back at base that she plays every now and then.

Theme/Speech Color: "Get your [censored] together, we leave in five."

IC's up!

I expected it to be longer than that, but I got down everything I wanted and didn't feel like writing fluff. Oh well.

I'm going to allow a round or two of posting and then I'll skip to the city. And don't worry, there won't be any surprises on the way. The Captain wasn't lying, it is in fact a safe route.

Also, here's who is in what Humvee:
SSG Grosvenor, PO1 Siegfried, and SGT Foley are in the lead vehicle.
SSG DeWitt, SSgt Yornifax, and Data Analyst Yosef are in the middle vehicle.
Capt Rose and PFC Erinson are bringing up the rear with an empty seat that they're pretty sure was supposed to be filled.

All three have a driver and a gunner.

And Squad 1 is officially designated as X-ray Squad, or X-ray for short.

If you have any questions, ask them!

EDIT: Several things! Mostly important! You can post multiple times at present, this will change once the party arrives at the city. At that point, I'd like you to keep to one post per round. A new 'round' starts when I post. If you're going to be doing a combo post, post here so people are aware and can join in if they wish.

Assuming all goes well, I'll be posting to move things along on Monday. So if you have conversations you want done, best hurry along. I'll also be trying to keep to that schedule, but it may not always be viable.

If, for whatever reason, you can't post in a certain round, let me know and I'll probably delay my post. (Most likely I'll hold off unless my post won't affect your character at all.) If you fail to notify me, and you are not currently engaged in something that requires your input, I'll just move along without you. Unless we're in combat or something, this will have no effect on your character. If we are, your character runs the risk of death. Most likely they'll just get seriously injured or incapacitated, but your mileage may vary. (Also your character becomes a bigger burden if they're incapable of action, so that throws a nice wrench into the works.)

EDIT 2: The Reckoning: No post today due to illness-induced writer's block. Sorry.

Lief pls

This editing thing confuses me. I am posting now so that you don't have to double post. Just so that you can make a new one instead of build on older ones. It's your choice, of course. But here this is. Just in case.

God, that sounds really passive aggressive. Sorry. I couldn't figure out how else to word it.

That's why I add edits to the bottom. If I added them to the middle of my post, nobody would see them. But at the bottom, the people who actually scan the post real quick to see if anything changed will see the edit. Those that don't, well too bad. Also, adding dates is too much like work.

The first edit to the post was important, which is why I made it big and bold. The second edit less-so.

Also yes a wee bit more activity in here would be appreciated so I don't have to delete my posts then repost them with edits so people will see it. I could just start editing without all that fuss, but then nobody would see it and would be annoyed that I didn't tell them something. I might just start doing that anyways, but as it stands it's more trouble than it's worth.

EDIT: And there we go. A post. Such a wonderful, majestic thing. No, not really. Not my best work but I wanted to get something out before it got too late in the week. Since it went up on a Wednesday this week, I'll try and post on Tuesday next week. Then Monday the following, and hopefully it'll stay Monday from that point on.

EDIT 2: Return of the Edit: So uh, anyone other than Gabe going to post?
