Cogitations (Interest Check)
I've been lurking in these forums for a while now, since my departure, and the role playing community is degenerating. I don't know if any of you have seen it, but it's happening. I told Worbak and myself a few weeks ago, that if this place is going to die, or at least engage in more torpid practices, then I desire to have an effect on that, regardless of as to it being positive or otherwise.
We're working on an RP, expect it within a week.
Think crime, we're the crime, and we're modern.
Interest?

On a scale of Payday to Reservoir Dogs, where would it be?

I can say that I am definitely leaning it toward character-centered role playing, in contrast with more situation-centered stuff. I am looking for cool characters that make sense, I want them to be complex, but with explanations that don't reveal everything.isstmich wrote:i would have to know more about it before i have a solid answer, but for now you have my interests
Sound suitable?
Think Reservoir Dogs character intricacy, with Payday-scale felonies.MrFlyingAmoeba wrote:On a scale of Payday to Reservoir Dogs, where would it be?
There will probably also be areas that focus on more subtle crime, probably at the beginning. Drug deals, smuggling, slave trade.
Like said, it's primarily about the characters, so expect some smooth environments, we won't always be in car chases or gun fights.

I'm still around blarg. I've been trying to think of something like our old ones but am lacking on time to devote to the idea process.
Would love to see what ya got in the works

I should have time, but Worbak and I want the presentation to be perfect. Therefore, we are going to take our time in getting it out.bond84 wrote:I'm still around blarg. I've been trying to think of something like our old ones but am lacking on time to devote to the idea process.

I urge forethought for character ideas, primarily their history, as I do not want to reveal anything besides the general idea.

Can you give us general indications as to what kinds of characters we can have? There's a lot more than just the guys who go in and grab money or that are typically seen, and it would be good to know if those sort of characters will be available for use.

Their history can be anything within reason. (By that, I refer to being an alien spy or some stupid [censored] of the sort.)MrFlyingAmoeba wrote:Can you give us general indications as to what kinds of characters we can have? It is all that really matters at the moment, as things come along in my mind I will be able to better assist in the foundation of your character(s).
Yes, you can have multiple.
(Edit: Also, if you are still unsure, then obviously, you can just PM me and see if it's cool.
I'm also thinking, "no anthros" at the moment.)

Ah, that's a shame, man. But I'll tell you if we end up allowing them, cool?MUDPUNISHER wrote:If it weren't for the no anthros part, I'd join this
Worbak and I have quite a bit to talk about, and if we debate it into the RP, then they'll be there. I think he said that he would enjoy to be something that isn't a human, so he and I need to talk about it.

Re: Cogitations
While I'm not personally interested in this RP, I'd like to see how it turns out. Make sure you guys get a solid setting idea fast; the longer an Interest thread draws out, the worse.
It's always fun to try out new character types! Expanding one's repertoire is never a bad idea.MUDPUNISHER wrote:Well usually I'm something similar to my avatar so it'd be helpful

Re: Cogitations
well since the decline of topics I do like to stay in a roleplaying area that may not stop, so as long as there is a RP to be made im interested. as for the character center will there be a side choicing? (be villain be hero etc..)
As an engineer for war, a thief for hire, and a regular guy, one finds similarities to all these occupations in time.
