Basically, you are living your day to day life in the capital city of Zerri as its occupying force is turning the ravaged city into a major military installation for future conquest of further lands. A resistance movement is brewing however and the Epican are cracking down hard on any would be userpers. The RP is realistic, as in if your a resistance fighter with a rifle and an armored turreted vehicle pulls up, you hightail it before it guns you down, same if your unlucky enough to meet face to face with a battalion of soldiers. Technology wise is a mix of WW2 and modern tech, somewhat near future tech aswell.
Backstory: Derdia, a often peacefull nation that has prospered well into its golden age in the last century. Considered the richest nation, they often viewed other nations as insignificant or barbaric. When the rumors of a powerful warlord sweeping the many city states neighburing them, they turned a blind eye, after all, how could such barbarians challenge them and there armies? This would prove to be the end of there golden age as this warlord, now crowned Lord Autocrat of all of Epica, united the warthorned city states into a grand nation. There armies in the millions, there borders ever expanding, a form of cold war began between the rising Epica and the now buckling Derdia.
The elected officials had hoped that simply outliving this Lord Autocrat would fix the problem. With him gone, who would lead this grand nation? There hope lied on chance of the great newly formed nation splintering back into bickering city states with the Lord Autocrat gone but to there dismay, his son took his place, crowning himself Grand Autokrator of all the lands. This successor proved to be even worse then his father as he encroached on Derdia, conquering there neighbours and surrounding them. Then, the stalemate broke, tanks in the thousands trampled the ground as planes blocked out the sun, there numbers almost 4 times Derdian estimations. Within mere months the great Epica blitzkrieg had crushed the supposed invincible Derdia army in a stunning and surprising total victory for Epica, even the Grand Autokrator was said to be in awe at how easily they overtook Derdia.
It has been a year sense the major defeat of Derdia and Epica is already planning its next conquest, using Derdian cities as staging grounds for further expansion. The rise of Epica is almost guaranteed, almost. Rumors have started to pass through, city to city, a new power rises in the west, one capable of challenging the ever growing Autocracy of Epica and there tyrranical rule but are they just that, rumors, feint hopes of freedom? Rumors aside, some wont wait for something that may not be real. A rebellion rises in the gettos, people fed up with the Autocracy and its supreme ruler and are fighting back agaisn't overwhelming odds, many die but many more swells there ranks in the ever growing resistance movement. No more will they take punishement from there unjust masters for crimes they did not commit. A new war is brewing in the once proud nation of Derdia but will Derdia regain its lost glory or will it receive the final nail in its coffin?
Powers that be:
The Autocracy of Epica: The biggest nation to have ever existed in sheer landmass and in sheer numbers, Epica's armies swell in the millions as they have more soldiers then other nations have bullets, more tanks then other nations have people. This massive, unheard of army though has its weakness, for one they lack advance tech but often make the difference in crude but reliable weaponry and sheer number. The core of there army relies on the foot soldiers, crudely equiped but surprisingly well trained, often escorted by Scarabs, armored personnel carriers often used to give an extra punch to infantry battalions. Then comes there infamous Rhamos tank, the workhorse of there army. The thing that punches through everything, made crudely but heavy and armored more then some bunkers, they are what made the Autocracy grow so big to such a point that they are actually represented on the Autocratic military insignia. They also employ Militias conscripted from the Derdian population to fight back agaisn't the rising freedom movement although they are under strict control from Epican Commissars and officers to make sure they arent backstabbing there new rulers and these Derdian soldiers never exceed the rank of private. They also dont have any uniform code and get the bottom of the barrel equipment.
The DFM (Derdia Freedom Movement): Ragtag groups of freedom fighters making hit and runs agaisn't the Autocracy. They fight for Derdian independence and freedom but they battle agaisn't the moon and the stars in a manner of speaking as there attacks are, to be honest, nothing more then an annoying itch to the Autocracies military might. Although it is ever growing in numbers, the fact that the Autocracy has more soldiers then Derdia's overall population can be discouraging but they dont backdown, they cant. They fight for there homes and for there families and even though they expect to die, they do so bravely and for what they believe in. Often working in small groups never bigger then ten, they fight using whatever they can muster. The majority of them are civilians but a few groups of them are hardened Derdian veterans that can cause real problems for the Autocracy. They sometime use looted vehicles but rarely as it attracts to much attention. They also work as independent cells so if one gets cought, the others are safe so they dont have a leader figure although there are talks of a few popular figures amongst there ranks.
The Wither Broker: Not much of a power, the Wither Broker is mostly a group of opportunists using the current problems to enrich themselves in the name of this Wither Broker. Having deep routes in the black market and the underground world, the Wither Broker has huge sets of connections to mercs, illegal weapons, all sorts of armaments and info. Because of this, the DFM often deals with the Wither Broker to there disliking. He has no armies to speak of but has access to large quantities of mercs if the situation arrises. (Think of the Shadow Broker from Mass Effect)
UCNC (Union of Civilised Nationalist Corporations): Not much is known about this group, most dont even know there name. What is known is that they heil from the west and are said to be growing in power rather quickly, if the rumors are to be believed. Now for what everyone doesn't know, the UCNC is a group of powerful monopoly Corporations and industries that spans across dozens of small nations. These Corporations have always secretely controlled the nations they were based in through bribery and blackmail but now with such a threat looming ever closer, they use there ungodly wealth to amass an army of unseen technological prowess. From heavily armored marines to four legged walking tanks, there army already surpasses that of the old Derdian state. Although the rumors state how they will free the conquered lands, they have no such intentions. Slave labor and a wealthy bank account is what motivates the CEO's of these monopolies, also the will to not be beheaded by the Great Autokrator aswell.
Derdia Civilians: People just trying to live there lives from one day to another. Life has become hard for these poor souls but they still manage to eek out an existence in the war ravaged city they are forced to live in.

- Although the Autocracy is the main villain, you can still be part of it. A soldier amongst the ranks that has doubts for example. A militiamen trying to simply feed his family for another.
- This RP is ment to be realistic, no one is going to charge in a battallion of soldiers expecting to live.
- No magic.
- There are multiple races out there but anything but a human is a rare sight.
