Let's put it this way:
It got its own thread.
But yeah it'd be pretty hard to do that again. I'll just be here until the end of time and be the last person to post.

Really?

I have seen it before. other forums definitely not here. But at that point we were basically flooding, also at some point we went full flamewar, fun times. thought I have to concede that some of the things we post here might be better suited to the General Chat Thread. If anyone were to actually post there anymore...

The general chat thread was somewhat redundant since we already had this thread, which basically is just that.

It’s funny to me that the current generation of non-comic thread forumites really know nothing about the ETB.

Comic is not really special anymore. I can't find inspiration to make something else of it in the panel shuffle.

And my writing is also on hold, because no time. Covid has no effect on my work, on the contrary, this year was and still is very busy.

But I will be the last one posting!!1

Oh yeah, the ETB thread... I forgot about that. Back in those days, I never even opened the Forum Games board, so I never knew about that stuff. Back then, it was just comic threads and the smile and rant threads for me.

Well to be fair I have only been in the forum for little over 2 years. The last post of epic throne battle seems to be around that same time.
So yeah no surprise I am not familiar with the forum history

Today I have once again discovered my own flammability. Accidentally, of course.

Also, side note, don't light yourself on fire with acetylene. It kinda burns. A lot. Quickly. 0/10 would not recommend. Also leaves ash behind.

I've been around since 2015 but had a tendency to dig through ancient threads, profiles and searches. Learned a lot about this place.

Should have said, "don't try this at all".

Did you burn yourself with an acetylene torch?
You ok pal? That stuff burns through metal like butter.

Not burned myself, more like.. lit myself on fire. As I have discovered through various... circumstances, I am apparently quite flammable.

Acetylene burns at a couple thousand degrees celsius. Almost everything is flammable at that temperature.

Not to mention that a human can be modeled as a wax candle.

In any case hope you are ok and not very burnt.

Nah, I'm fine. Not the first time I've had to put myself out.

The soot was the bigger problem. That stuff just doesn't wash off.

Good to hear you are alrigth!.

On similarly fiery news. My meeting today took and unexpected start when my boss asked before anything else:

Boss: So is everyone based in California alright?

Turns out California is basically ablaze right now. One of my colleagues mentioned air quality was terrible, too much ash.

So 2020 is still going strong!
