Re: Last Man Posting
Oh I see.
At one point I thought you were talking about this
Anyhow never saw the show. But I know some people really like it. Personally found the premise quite boring

Ye, nah.
Just some obscure song from a TV show.

Re: Last Man Posting
I wouldn't call that show obscure despite not seeing the show myself I know it is rather popular. As in the most popular show in netfli for a season.
I do not really watch much, or any, Tv anymore. That is why I always seem out of the loop.
sure blame it on that

I didn't mean that the show was obscure, just the song in it.

And my poor eyesight/attention deceived me.
Yeah misread your comment. I am in no position to comment on the song popularity...

Apparently even cars can get so old that they flat out refuse to talk to anyone. Lucky for us, they also get jealous when you choose another one over them.

Re: Last Man Posting
Most modern cars have more computers than a small company datacenter. An Teslas have way more of them. I have no problem with more electronics in my car, as long as they are properly coded, the less i have to do the driving the better. But that means that from time to time computers will throw a temper tantrum and stop working, generally no more than a scare and a minor inconvenience. Good to hear one of your cars is back on operative conditions
Wireless communications and cellular connectivity on the other hand is something I do not trust. The car has no reason to connect to the internet or to anything else other than my phone, if it requires an update it can wait till we get home and use a cable.

Re: Last Man Posting
Welp, I spoke too soon. Tesla's on the fritz again. Dad's got my Impala, and I'm back to winterizing the 52-year-old CJ. For hopefully the last time. Got the message this morning, while I was at work. He had my grandmother pick him up at the service center. Good thing I took the Jeep to work...
Also, I took a coworker for a drive in it around the parking lot today. Scared the living daylights out of him. Lol.

Re: Last Man Posting
I assume your cj is not your go to winter vehicle?
If the Tesla won't charge because the controller won't take input that should be fixable. But if the battery just decided to die...
Well I think I can be replaced but I hope it is still under guarantee.

Re: Last Man Posting
The battery and drive unit are warrantied 8 years unlimited miles, so if it's one of those, he's good. But if not... It's bad news.
And no, it's not. My daily is my go-to winter vehicle. That CJ is original virgin steel, not an alloy, not coated, not aluminum. It would ROT in a New England winter as a daily without proper protection. The thing's 52 this year, for Pete's sake.

Re: Last Man Posting
I once readed Teslas are designed for a million miles or something like that.
And sorry we do not have very harsh winters this part of the globe. As such I now nothing about winterizing cars or operating them under snow/ice conditions.
