My buddy's thinking of buying a coworker's motorcycle. 1500 V-twin. Before he looked up and compared the specs, he thought it might be faster than my father's CBX 1000, in-line 6.

LOL, nope. Not by a longshot. To be fair, though, that CBX scares the hell outta me anywhere north of 5500, with a redline at 9500. *shudders*

Mo-tor Cy-cle? that breed of driver died out a long time ago where I'm from. (I had to search up half the stuff you said, but on the bright side I
re-learned what a redline is and punched myself upon reaching this not-so-newfound knowledge.)
Wow these things are way harder to come up with than you'd think. Or is that just me?

Where on Earth are you from that people aren't stupid enough to ride motorcycles?

The people on four wheels are idiots.

CALIFORNIA TRAFFIC. ever seen a guy go 5 (usually its only 2-3) lanes without stopping, didn't even use his blinkers the entire time. the amount of times I 've seen a car take up two spaces in a parking lot bothers me. I almost got hit, the guy shrugged. watching bikers on Californian roads gives more suspense than any horror movie.

You've never been through Boston during rush hour. It's war.

Am from Boston, can confirm -- it's a bloodbath.

There's a reason everyone takes the T even though it's hot, crowded, screeches like a bat from hell, and barely works half the time, and it's how bad the traffic is -- while the T may be unpleasant, you can be more or less sure you'll get to your destination alive.

In other news, I just got a weekly column in a newspaper in which I analyze social commentary in film & television!

... and without gun pointing, baseball bat swinging, or hot coffee throwing. All of which have happened.

Also, not exaggerating. Most of the T trains could be sound effects for screaming banshees, green line especially. Took my GF on it once.. she still won't go back...

I do like driving. What I don't like is finding a parking spot, because that means I have arrived at the destination.

Hasn't been quite half a year yet, but eh, whatever. This year's been weird enough.

driving can be fun sometimes (when it's not extremely monotonous)

I've been on trips with both; rush hour Boston followed by empty Vermont interstate. Monotony has its bonuses, let me tell you.

I am not particularly found of driving. On top of that I am not a good driver either.
I rather take the bus.
Also excuse my ignorance. What is a T train?
