Math is about numbers but they have a symbolic representation. Hence when doing maths I have to do the process, the operations, in Spanish whether doing simple or complex stuff. I occasionally try to do it in English but it is way more effort than it is worth.
I find that extremely fascinating for some reason.

Nice factorization by the way.

*Bows slightly*

I was quite the wiz back in high school. Calculus, trig.. that stuff just made sense. Never got the hang of showing my work, though.

There was this time right after some week long break where our teacher gave us a trig problem on the board, and I just cocked my head to the side like, "why are we doing something so simple?" Find the length of one third of the hypotenuse of a 45-45-90 triangle with legs of 3.

I am all the time.
If it moves but shouldn't: Duct tape. If it doesn't move but should: WD-40. With a hammer everything fits, and if it still doesn't fit: bigger hammer. If it can't be fixed with a hammer it's an electrical problem.

Showing your work? How so?
Sorry my English somehow fails to parse your sentence.

Anyhow.
I like coffee I really do. But that's it I just like it. And I get a bit worried everytime I hear someone is unable to function without their morning cup. They should try to cut down on caffeine that level of dependency is not healthy.
Then there is the people who only drink only the fancy javan stuff made by french presses or aeroexpreses. Personally I can't taste the difference. Alas I have been told my sense of taste is not very good.

On the subject of showing work:

25
x16
30
+120
+50
+200
400

I would completely skip all that middle stuff, do the work in my head, and get deducted points for not showing how I got my answer. Such as, for instance:

36*55=1980 (And yes, I did that in my head.)

Other than educational puppet i do not see much benefit for being thorough on arithmetics.

But in algebra and calculus you should justify your answers. I had professor that not only deducted points for partial procedures but plainly accused you of copying if your answer was not extensive enough.
On the other hand I also had professors who did not have two [censored] about copying and as long as the answer was correct they gave full mark even if it simply materialized out of "thin air" or more likely your friends test.
Also some professors gave partial marks. Even if your answers was wrong if the process was right they gave you some points.

If you didn't understand something, try listening to it at a slower speed. They talk pretty fast.

On an unrelated note, I spend MONTHS looking for this video, since I was first shown it in these hallowed halls when it was first produced...

They do talk fast and if you don't get the joke at the beginning... Well let's just say I had to watch it more than once.

On the other I am not sure what Tlaloc, the aztec God of rain, banjo music a lizard and a heron have anything to do with each other but the animation is nice
