Very bad at latin but for what I found out. The origin of English new and Spanish nuevo is latin novum, novus or nova depending on the dictionary you ask. All meaning some variation of first or new.

Emailed tech support for a difficult customer concern. Most recent response: "I'll review the data you sent and get back to you tomorrow. Let's work together to fix our customer's car!"

Translation: "It's late and I wanna go home. I'll deal with this in the morning."

Think of how stupid the average person is.
If it moves but shouldn't: Duct tape. If it doesn't move but should: WD-40. With a hammer everything fits, and if it still doesn't fit: bigger hammer. If it can't be fixed with a hammer it's an electrical problem.

Indeed. People are very stupid.

In other news, I have once again proven Murphy's Law. By knocking on wood without even having a reason to, I have prevented the Saturday morning customer rush.

Weird forum decided not to render the image for me ...

Some people believe that their business or any other entrepreneurship will be successful and prosperous as long as they just hire very smart people. Turns out very intelligent persons are hard to find, charge a lot of money and are sometimes hard to work with.

What I am trying to say I'd your business depends on getting smart people to work with you you better change your business model

There is an Spanish proverb I really like* that ties nicely into this idea:

"A job that does not feed its owner is not worth 2 beans!"

you are gonna have a very hard time finding competent people if you are not gonna give them a competitive compensation.

*Not really a proverb it is written on El quijote, said by Mr Sancho

I've seen this posted quite a few times, over in #twokinds. Baby birds about to hatch yet?

Few weeks to go I think. Already two eggs.

And yes I am a bit... I don't know how to say it, but 'proud' I think. The parents both are ringed messenger pigeons, but I can't even stand close to the window without scaring them.

They are not the flying rats I had to chase away last year, all I see is a bit of straw on places where it shouldn't be, but no loads of free bird guano.

That is nice. Back in my old city i had sparrows and swallows make nests in my garage. They were nice neighbors and swallows came yearly. I am pretty sure they were the same ones.

Also I will sound like a sexagenarian in a bit but:

You remember joining that IRC chat with me a while back? #twokinds is the official Twokinds chatroom. Hardly anything gets discussed about the comic anymore, but the people who found it in the early days still connect once in a while. "New" people there still have several years under their belt.
