Re: Last Man Posting
Depends on the your exact version but windows 10 has support till 2025. Besides it doesn't sound that old.
you can check here
Seems likely the browser and http clients are a bit old once it manages to update should be fine. Try wired connection as wifi drivers are a finicky beast.

Yeah, funny story, my wifi on that machine is completely borked. Cable or nothing, since 2017 or so. Still won't update.

Re: Last Man Posting
Yeah, probably. But for now, I'll just be using it as a second machine, that's capable of watching Youtube and Hulu without lagging and freezing.
Christmas plans 2020 include binging an anime with my sister while communicating through IRC, as if it was 2005 or something. Should be fun, 'cept I can't remember my Hulu password.

That sounds nice and nostalgic. I simply cooked for myself and my mother and had a zoom call the rest of my family.
As a side note despite being popular around the same(ish) time and both taking a big decline in user numbers at around the same time IRC is. nowadays, significantly more used that phpBB.

Re: Last Man Posting
Well the first post on this thread from 2020 was on page 903:
viewtopic.php?f=22&t=18118&start=13530
Now we are almost 60 pages forward with over 4000 new post so i think it is not unlikely we will get to page 1000 this year.

Quality over quantity.
If it moves but shouldn't: Duct tape. If it doesn't move but should: WD-40. With a hammer everything fits, and if it still doesn't fit: bigger hammer. If it can't be fixed with a hammer it's an electrical problem.

What happens when that happens? In my mind, I'm having Y2K visions, where the forum starts breaking, but somehow I don't think that'll be the case. Does it get reset after a while or something?

Re: Last Man Posting
Some people with a lot of posts left and had their account and all their posts removed.

Re: Last Man Posting
Well, that's a shame. How many people ended up double-posting because of that?

Lol, it doesn’t count as double posting when stuff gets deleted

Yes, Mr./Mrs. Moderator Hayate sir/ma'am, Forgive my lack of knowledge of preferred pronoun.. Maybe we should add that to the profile section
It'd be an interesting piece of info... But I'm too lazy to go and check 960-something pages to find out.
