Kinda strange considering all kinds of adult content sites use PayPal and similar services
There may be a difference in Paypal's eyes (and statistics) between
"Hey, we're a porn site!"
and
"No, we aren't a porn site, we're an art site"

"THAT'S PORN!"

Hey, at least people who get money for CP aren't getting any more money. That's good.

Long story sort: Patreon has been cracking down on "Adult themed", NSFW, and fetishistic Patreon pages over the last few weeks. They are trying to get everyone who creates such content to either put it all behind a paywall so that it's not immediately accessible to anyone who accidentally stumbles on the page, or else either take it off of the page entirely. If Patreon doesn't at least make an effort to curb NSFW and even NSFW-ish stuff being so open on their site, then they're going to lose the support of their payment services as, "payments for adult content are subject to a higher rate of chargebacks, and because of an aversion to the content itself among some payment processors"

It's certainly an unpopular move by them, but they're really stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either they move against NSFW content and lose a lot of their userbase's support, or they don't move against NSFW and they lose financial support, killing the site.

Infinitedge got hit a week or so ago as well and his page still isn't back up...
This is part of why I hate how prudish our culture is.
This is what happens when you spend a thousand years demonizing sex!

But the USA is just roundabout 300 years old?
What I mean: From an European perspective, the US society is really prudish.

So, I took my car to inspection yesterday. And they were like, nope, not gonna pass, better get a new one
Rusted through in several locations, fuel filler neck almost rusted through, suspension worn out, oil leaking from engine and turbo, DPF regen failure....

I had planned to buy a new car soon anyway, but now I have to speed things up as I've only got 2 months

The US prudishness comes from its DEEPLY religious roots, which were core to the founding of many of the colonies. As such, the demonization needs to be followed back further into its greater Christian origins.

My kitty passed away. She was barely only two. Went from happy kitten playing with her mouse to gone in less than an hour. Vet thinks it was probably a congenital heart disease.

RIP Nyx. You were the best lap panther ever.

Sympathies, Dadrobit. In time that kitty-shaped hole will heal enough for another occupant to move in.

My beagle was in the hospital today. Two seizures + frothing at the mouth, but blood tests are clear and she's coming home tomorrow is what I'm told. words cannot describe how sad I'll be if she dies before I can come back home from uni and see her one last time

exactly 24 hours after it started, it's over. Had to put her down 20 minuted ago. Last time I saw her in person was august, last time i saw her alive was last night when I was in a video call with my sister as she was watching over her. this was my childhood dog and pretty much the only friend i had for most of my life, so this is particularly devastating.
don't really have many good pictures on my computer, but this is my favorite picture of her, taken a couple years ago when she took the stuffing out of her bed and was using it as a sleeping bag. I had a bad phone, so the pic quality isn't that good

Spent close to 2 hours writing up a post only to be informed I need to be logged in to post. I log in and the wall of text is done. I'm so crushed I don't even feel like being angry, i'm going to go for a walk.

I know that feel bro.
I usually type on a text editor when posting anything longer than a few paragraphs in case something like that happens.
