If you hit the Windows key and the letter R at the same time on your keyboard, the "Run" window will pop up. Just type in %appdata%, and the folder will open immediately.Bellhead wrote:So I have this file. It's a .zip, and I stored it in a very specific location. D:\Users\<username>\appdata\... I used Vista from another partition to put it there. And yes, 8.1 sees it as D.
However, when I browse to it, the folder "appdata" isn't even there. Nor is it when I search for it. Nor is it when I show hidden files/folders. The only way to see it is to manually type in the path. And this is not the first time this has happened.
At least I can update to 10 at some point soon...
And I can't recommend "upgrading" to Windows 10 for a while. A lot of people are having serious problems with it, its default error message is one of the least helpful messages I've ever seen ("something happened: something happened"), and it's got even worse compatibility issues than Win8 had.
