Yes, the bright shiny blue! Aside: If they call it prosilver, why not use silver instead of blue?

And for the notification thing, I don't think there's any way to change/turn off the new post notification other than clicking mark all topics read (I presume you're talking about when the topic icon turns orange?)

'cause the names are too tiny to read, and many people (I'd guess) get to know everyone as their avatars for the most part.
