Zylver... what is that supposed to be? I mean, it's obvious the Earth and Moon, but I don't get that other satellite, nor do I understand the oddness of it's orbital behavior.

It looks like it's an asteroid that's gonna pass reeeeal close to the earth several times before getting thrown back by the earth's gravity.

Close enough, but it is the Moon that averted the asteroid from Earth :) Found it amazing to have a natural "anti-asteroid defence" for our planet :grin:

Well. Interesting. Searched the name of the ''asteroid''. And it's apparently a part of Apollo 12 S-IV or something (it's lightweight). Thought I heard of it before. Far as big asteroids go, they shouldn't steer so fast in close orbit.

But yea, the moon is supposed to help the earth against smaller things. Not sure how to estimate how much though. Wouldn't count on it in extremis. Besides, that'd make a weird movie. :P
