Tom's name...

#1 Post by Tetrahedron »

OK, it is a very personal question.
Where does Tom's German name come from?

This may be better suited to the FAQ board.

A quick Google search says it's a combination of the German words for "Fish" and "Stream", so my two cents would be "lives near a stream full of fish", maybe? Dunno. He and Mark are the only ones I've ever heard of with that name, though.

Well, alone in Berlin are several people with the name Fischbach. That's a common name.
Bit does Tom have German ancestors?

I remember reading, and do not quote me on this as i do not have any sources to back it up:

Tom father is German and his mother is Korean. He was born on Hawaii.
