A quick Google search says it's a combination of the German words for "Fish" and "Stream", so my two cents would be "lives near a stream full of fish", maybe? Dunno. He and Mark are the only ones I've ever heard of with that name, though.

Well, alone in Berlin are several people with the name Fischbach. That's a common name.
