Am I missing out by not getting the paper edition comics

#1 Post by The guy in the back »

I realize that I am basically freeloading off of the keenspot site here for the web comic but that's because I'm fifteen broke and don't have a job plus my parents would probably be surprised if I came home one day with three of these things and they found out they were furry comics ( not intended to be rude I realize the loose definition and I am leaning on that for the time being) my parents are rather old fashioned and I am too I simply liked the idea of the comics but other than that I'm an outsider looking in but let's get back to the point am I missing anything like more pages or dialect ( for lack of a better word) than is in the web comic from keenspot that I am currently reading from if so then I guess I'll wait till I'm outa the house and can make my own purchases or I can stop being a wimp and figure how to get them to buy the books while trying to tell them it's not technically porn because there is fur covering them and that their son isn't a furry again not meant to be slanderous but I just like the drawings and overall happy feeling I get when I am able to read about sex and not get turned on enough to do something about it which is typical behavior in an adolescent male (or so I'm told) but before this gets thrown the rant board I will get to the point again and then stop the essay there. Am I missing anything if I am simply reading the web comics and not the printed version. Hope to get an answer soon sorry for the lack of grammar and punctuation. Btw even if I'm not a furry I still check the site every day for updates :zen: :natani: by far Natani is my favorite character if anybody asks.

Hey! Stop and take a breath once in a while! :D

Probably most of the readers of the comic never financially contribute or even post here. Same is true of the gazillion other webcomics that are freely available. If the artists had a problem with this, they wouldn't have made/kept the comics freely available... in fact I've seen a few go behind paywalls or just stop in midstream (and one actually disappear, i.e. the artist put an effort into removing the comic) because the artist refused to put the work out as freely-accessible advertising for their talent. (I've also seen a few just stop in midstream because the artist no longer had time for the free stuff - in a few cases because they were getting so many commissions and other paid work, which I heartily applaud. And some completed/dead comics disappear because the artist doesn't keep paying the cost of maintaining the site and domain name...)

Even with that, I regularly read two webcomics whose author/artists I know to be living (and one of them raising a family) on what they derive from the webcomics they make freely available. There are probably more that I'm not aware of just among my collection, let alone the many others I don't read.

As for the sack of potatoes... it appeared in the comic at least once. Its presence wasn't as signficant as the absence of the character one might have expected in that location. I can't remember when and didn't quickly find it.
