topwebcomics.com - Voteing Problem
There is no hint or something. :>
Btw: i know, TK can't do anything about it.
Just wanted to share this captcha with you
Maybe, this page would get more votes, if the captcha's would be possible for users, that only follow TK-comics.
Something that could be solved, like this:
Re: topwebcomics.com - Voteing Problem
Wow, that's weird I have never had that happen before. If you tried to refresh did it do the same thing? I would definitely try to contact the support people at TWC to get it figured out. Also, I think if you register and make an account on TWC you can skip that screen altogether.
Re: topwebcomics.com - Voteing Problem
it appears around 30% of the time, that this captcha dosn't have a name in the picture.
Yes, reloading works and its not a big deal. But i have to wait for a few minutes, until the session is destroyed (or cache is empty).
Just wondering whos bright idea this was, not to add a name to the character
(Maybe they have just forgotten to add it).
I'll send tcw a ticket later this day.
on the bright side, it gave me another opportunity to draw something xD

Re: topwebcomics.com - Voteing Problem
I've gotten it on a different character once. (And I actually guessed right!)
Some kind of an oops on their end, whether the images are manually or automatically composited. But you just gotta ask yourself: Who does this character look like?

I love that you drew something just to make a comment for the OP.
Yeah, just hit refresh and most of the time they'll give a named portrait. It's much like what amenon said. Something like 2 out of 10 times or so I've gotten unnamed people. Had to just roll for something better.

Re: topwebcomics.com - Voteing Problem
got an answer.
basicly they are doing all the naming manually with an image editor and sometimes a few images slipped through.
i suggested, they should try out php GD to merge the text with the image or something like this.
the text would also be the name of the radio-button, that you have to click on.
But it could be a bit tricky to add long names in a small picture ...
Anyway, its not my website, so why should i bother finding a solution.
(datafiles dont emit a scent, thats the problem)
i could use tineye.com and hope to find the name at another place, where this image was used, but hitting the reset-button was faster.
the support of twc also lol'ed at this (Yeah, was too lazy to seperate that again, so i used the same image for the support ticket)
