The Jelly for the PBJ of Twokinds (God awful title)

#1 Post by Logan Furry »

If people would be ever so kind, is there any other comics people suggest reading that someone from Twokinds could get into and vice versa. I want the general public's ideas since I know there's certain things that just DO NOT go together. So which comic goes well for a Twokinds fan similar to peanut butter and jelly?
And as a bonus, you could name any media in general that doesn't go well with Twokinds from video games, popular novels, to even current events. I would be really interested on your opinions for this is all.

https://twokinds.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5870 has a huge list. I'm a fan of http://sssscomic.com/ (and that is completely different)
If it moves but shouldn't: Duct tape. If it doesn't move but should: WD-40. With a hammer everything fits, and if it still doesn't fit: bigger hammer. If it can't be fixed with a hammer it's an electrical problem.

Logan, that's far too general a question. Just knowing you like TwoKinds is not nearly enough to know what else you might like.

I regularly read (or used to regularly read)... let's see... probably at least 40 webcomics that at least arguably qualify as "furry" - and more that don't. "The Whiteboard", which seems to be extremely popular among furry-comic fans, is not among them: I can't get sufficiently interested to even make it an effective sleep aid.

And frankly, I can't think of another comic that is seriously like TwoKinds - even the most-similar are all different in ways that are likely to be significant.

Suburban Jungle is the first furry comic I read, just before TwoKinds. It's more slice-of-life, but does touch on interspecies tension (predator vs. prey) and romance (mostly between similar species, but still with issues like interbreeding). So... I guess it's tangentially related at best, but I still recommend it.

Beyond the Western Deep is a more recent find, and doesn't really do interspecies romance (or, at least, not yet). But the conflicts between species is a major part of the plot and setting. It also has an epic feel, with a rich world just begging to be explored further.

There's also Uberquest, which is more high-fantasy than either of the above. There is conflict and romance, which can be interspecies, but that aspect is more downplayed than TwoKinds. Still a good read.

If you're also open to plain literature, I've been working on a novel for a couple of years that has TwoKinds as an inspiration. You might get a kick out of it.

Alright a better question. What comic would best fit with the theme of Twokinds or if someone is trying to get out of the medieval/fantasy feeling but doesn't want drastic change which comics would be best?
