To me the best part of this is reading peoples reactions, although I I did see a couple of awards that made me raise an eyebrow, so it looks like things didn't quite go as smooth as expected, but the majority of the awards were good, pleasant awards that it would be hard to take in an insulting manner (other than maybe calling someone a furry who has quite eloquently, and in college essay post length, stated he isn't a furry, merely someone familiar with the fandom and accepting of furries, could be pushing it a tad, thankfully that was on someone who I think can view it as a compliment coming from members of the fandom), so I'd say that in the end SperoWolf managed to pull this off spectacularly.
