Damn... you read fast.
It's not that fast... It was a boring day during my summer internship last year
I think that's right around the time I read it in as well. Of course, I was so engrossed in the story I didn't appreciate the art as much as I do now; I wasn't enjoying the art per se. After a while I did go back and read it another two/three times much slower.

I found Twokinds last December(ish) while my sister, my brother and I where talking about Markiplier. When we were talking about how he got famous very fast on the internet, my brother mentioned that Mark's brother was also famous on the internet. With curiosity, I asked how Tom was famous, and he pointed me to Twokinds. I read it over a course of a week, spreading out the chapters to a chapter or two (or three) each day. And boy, am I glad I read the comic. It made me want to create a spinoff-esque fanfic of TK, therefor creating my writing hobby. I look forward to meeting Tom in the upcoming Cincinnati Comic Expo!
I am the silliest noodle.

I have a long series of events that led me to TwoKinds.

In Late 2012/Early 2013, I discovered a game called Shores of Hazeron through random Google searches, and immediately got hooked despite the admittedly poor graphics and UI. A few years later, the game shut down, but a few months after re-appeared. As I was talking to one of my friends about the return of the game, he brought up the name of another individual he knew who played it. A few days later, once the servers were actually online, I discovered that this person had spawned in the same general region as I had. The largest group of players at the time, known as "Syndicate", were essentially a bunch of noobstompers, and were generally disliked. I joined forces with this person, along with several others, in order to fight Syndicate. Together we created "Legion." Later, another member of Legion linked the webcomic Freefall. About a third of the way through reading Freefall, I found their page of links to other comics. The third comic on the list was TwoKinds. When I discovered TwoKinds, I read it twice in a row without a break and immediately fell in love with the writing.
Sometimes, I wish I could art.

Posted it in another thread, but I started reading around early 2009 back in high school after injuring my back and found myself not being able to do much more than browse webcomics like QC, XKCD, reallifecomics, OOTS, Goats (RIP), and Erfworld and a few others I'm sure I'm forgetting that have fallen by the wayside. (I used to read BCB as well, but stopped years ago when I took a step back and saw how badly done that comic actually is...)

I honestly can't remember if I found it off of TWC at the time while looking for more to read, or if it was a reference from another webcomic, however I do remember seeing the front page and thinking, "Oh, well the art direction doesn't look too bad and I have 5 years worth of content to catch up on, sounds like a winner."

While it was jarring to see the *eherm* we'll call them 'humble' art/writing beginnings of the story, knowing that it at least got considerably better on the art front kept me reading and I had it caught up to present before the day was out. However I would argue that although it certainly got better over time, Toms writing didn't really stop being blunt/awkward/overly cliché until around late 2010-ish. Thankfully both have continued to improve well beyond their roots and into the current day.

Hmmm, that's also something I want to know. The first impressions people had of the comic. But I'll save that for another thread.

I found Twokinds kinds back in 2011, I first got clue of it from a picture I found on the Marvel Comics forum . It was the seen where Trace had those bodies impaled early in the comic . and from there I followed the name and found the site and read it ever since . Sometimes I think I like it more than I should .

I've been into web comics going back into the late 1990s, but in all that time, I can only think of six that I seriously followed - Two Kinds being one of them. I had seen references to it almost since the start, but didn't really get hooked on it until around late 2007.

But how did I discover it in the first place? To be honest, two words: Natani Porn.

Oh jeez xD Quite a way to get into a comic.

I personally don't remember when I got into it. I know for sure it was before Eric ever was introduced, not sure when though.
I loved the story and the characters, but yeah... the basitins basically cemented me as a fan of the series permanently. I was always a fan of Keith, I liked how he looked... yeah.
Outer Space is annoying. Wormholes are worse.

If I recall correctly it all started on a thursday on a normal school day. I was feeling really tired and dizzy and turned out my body heat was something like 40,5 C. So of course I didn't go to school on friday and spent all day endlessly wandering on youtube videos and what not until I came across a profile picture that was Flora from the 12th anniversary picture. I thought she looked really cute and the first thing I tried was reverse google image search with no luck so I ended up going to the guys channel and asking where he got his profile picture from. At that point I was really tired and went to sleep and after I woke up I found out that my comment had been responded to with a link to a deviantart page and crediting tom. Well I decided why not checkout the original art and I ended up browsing lots of TwoKinds art until looking at the comments and found out that there was a webcomic and well I was really happy and well spent the next 16 hours reading the comic non-stop.

So if I had been my usual self and just given up after a reverse image search or never asked where that one guy got his profile picture from and moved on I would have never found the wonderful comic Twokinds. Or maybe I would have but much later. And thanks to TwoKinds I also found Freefall which I think is amazing too.

And a little while later I found the TwoKinds forums but didn't join then, but yesterday I decided why not and that's how I ended up here.

Hello! Welcome to the forums.
I am very curious about that channel you mentioned. Xboxgamer969 isn't it. If so, it happens to be the same channel that somehow led me to Twokinds.

Yea that was it. I was gonna mention the channel but just couldn't remember the name.

Even though there hasn't been an answer here since Nov of last year I am still going to post so there! Bleh :P

Anyways, it was about last year when I was on another forum and someone posted a link to Two-Kinds so I clicked and was instantly intrigued with both the story and the characters.

What really impressed me was not only is Mr. Fischbach dedicated to developing the story but I liked observing how his artwork evolved over time. From basic drawings to nicely detailed works..it is great to see someone who has a reason to keep on doing what he is doing and I am grateful for his works.

I would have liked to tell him so myself but am not fond of signing up with Twitter or whatnot to tell him that; his artwork kind of inspires me which is what I need in order to try and continue what I do but what holds me back is I have no use for what I do while Mr. Fischbach does. He has a reason coupled with dedication as well as being able to stick to a story without derailing himself (my brain does that so often it ought to have its own special schedule printed out)

At any rate I enjoy the variety of characters as well as the age-old struggle of learning to try and co-exist in a world with such diversity.

I heard about it on tvtropes but the poor writing put me off reading it until I heard people talking about it on 4chan a couple of days ago.

I stumbled upon Twokinds one night while I was searching Undertale fanart. A banner with Trace and Flora popped up so I clicked on it wondering if they were characters I somehow missed in the game. Didn't get any answers from the link so I just googled 'Twokinds' and found the comic. I don't know what possessed me to start reading it but next thing I knew it was 1am. I finished reading the rest of the content after work the next day. Now I'm hooked and waiting for more additions.

I find it really funny how a majority of us here were so intrigued by TK that we simply binge-read it until we were all caught up.

I was definitely one of those. I swear, we need a name like the TK Midnight Club.
